Happy, Happy, Happy the boat passed the float test
Getting excited. Set the glass in place. Waiting for it to dry so I can trim it out and seal the exterior. If all goes well we will be floating around the pond Sunday.
Boat is coming together a lot of sanding but really starting to take shape. Hopefully Sunday it will be ready for a test run.

Plan "B" is we are going to put screen on the bottom and paint it with flex seal; if it doesn't work we are going to sue for false advertising. IF it does work we are going to ask for royalties for private endorsement.
LOL! Hope it doesn't resort to that...

First, I made a bloody mess trying to get the 150 gallon fish tank apart... Not to worry it was a small sliver that went through my glove but before I realized it the rubber outer layer had filled up with blood so it looked REALLY bad.... Nothing more than a small knick....
I guess my wife is starting to get excited, she gave me a hand putting the bottom chines on. I'm liking the progress. Thanks Baby for the help....
Okay, having the bottom on and sanded, time to start the "framing" trim on the exterior of the boat.
Okay, after gluing the bottom in place you will have to plane down the excess.... Getting close to done...

Not sure if anyone seen the gorilla glue or not, but just so y'all know in the 8 to 10 years I have been using it I have NEVER had the desire to put it in my hair! Not to say it ain't got there, I just didn't want it there.
Got flooded at the house... All is good now. In the meantime I did manage to get the bow and stern together... May need to hurry up with all this rain...lol
Finally starting to look like a boat.... Have to get bigger clamps though to pull the sides into position....
Okay, I have atlered the plans slightly here. I ripped the chines and ribbing from 2"x4" material. So my strips are 3/4" x 1 1/2" instead of the 3/4" x 1 1/8".

Also I am glueing the chine and ribs to the INSIDE of the hull. The framing will give the strength needed to bend and form the boat. Also, I will be wrapping all the edges with wood strips on the outside so as not to have any exposed plywood edges.
