He is a the stereotypical old big bad trucker. I've seen some weird stuff with him while driving in south Texas along the border. He never batted an eye, but while telling me this story he had goose bumps and a concerned expression. Which from this guy is about the equivalent of a trembling lip and shit stained pants. I'll tell this story in the first person as he told it to me. Years ago in the late 90's I was on my way from the house (central Texas) heading to Loredo to pick up a load. It was early morning, around 4 or 5. I had just come off a string of days at home, so I know I wasn't tired. I am on one of those two lane winding roads in the absolute middle of bum fuck nowhere, when i see something on the side of the road at the edge of my high beams. At first i just thought it was roadkill, as is usually the case. As I get closer, I see that it is roadkill AND there's someone crouching over the deer carcass. I remember thinking either this guys taking the antlers as a trophy, or he's fucking sick. As I got closer still I can now see that's this guys eating the fucking deer. He's pulling chunks of meat from the stomach and bringing them up to his face. At this point he stops mid motion and looks up at me. Not at my truck, but at me. He/it stands up and that's when I see that its fucking huge, brown, and covered in hair. I remember thinking at this point, oh fuck. This thing is standing on the tiny shoulder looking at me. By this point, maybe 3 seconds have passed and I'm about to the point in the road he's standing at. I didn't even think of stopping, in fact I'm starting to lay on it and get the hell out of there. As I'm passing it, its looking at me, again not at the truck, its looking through the driver's side windshield at me. He obviously has the intelligence to know that there's a driver in here and knows where I'm sitting. As I start to pass him I can still see its head above the hood of an old needle nose Pete. (Old truck design where the hood goes straight out from the windshield, known for being tall and difficult to see around.) This thing is fucking giant. I remember seeing what looked like human intelligence in its eyes. It scares the shit out of me. Sorry for the wall of text. It's a story worth sharing though.

I took the tour in Canyon Dechelle, a desolate place with bonafide quicksand and ancient Anasazi runes, wild ponies and the kind of path you could only get to in a 4x4. Dude told us his story of seeing a skinwalker once as a kid with his friend, totally freaked them out.

It still has her in awe and me as well. I wonder if it could be something to do with the matrix and it was important that her son survive for some reason. I guess it could be any number of things. Probably one of those choosey guardian angels. Here ya go: I'm on my cell so pardon any formatting errors. It started with my 3 year old son having a seizure. Something told me to get up on the middle of the night to check on him. He was having a full blown grand mal seizure. Up to this point he was in perfect health. Needless to say I freaked out. After a visit to a Naval Hospital (husband was a Marine, stationed in Japan) in Jacksonville Florida. I was told he needed to be seen at an MRI clinic in Gainesville Fl. We had just moved to Florida a few months prior and I didn't know a soul. I was terrified about the upcoming appointment as it was scheduled for 0730 and I had absolutely no idea how to get there. I told the NAS Dr. about my fear and his advice was to buy a map. (No cell phones or GPS back then) So I pack up my two sons and head out at 3:30 am. I planned to stop at a gas station and either buy a map or ask someone if they knew the way to the Naval Hospital Gainesville MRI Clinic. Its about 4:15am at this point and I'm white knuckling it on the dark road to Gainesville. I'm in the right lane, when suddenly a car is to the left of me. The passenger window is down and an elderly male is motioning me to roll down my window. The interior to the car is lit and I notice he's looking at something like a metal note pad? It was weird. He then states " you're going to the MRI Clinic, follow me please." At this point I'm thinking he's a rapist who's going to lead me down a deserted road and do Lord knows what to me. We had stopped at two red lights. I wanted to ask him how he knew where I was going. He didnt ask, he KNEW. But I was too frightened to get out of the car. So I follow him. About 30 minutes later he came to a stop and pointed to the building. He led me right to it ! I looked at the building and then back towards the car. I wanted to get out and thank this kind stranger. Only there was no one there. No car, no tail lights from a distant car, nothing. I can remember this like it was yesterday. I'm not religious, but the only thing that makes sense about this was that it was a guardian Angel. My son was diagnosed with a type of Epilepsy which he outgrew in his teens. I did ask the Dr. In Jacksonville if he sent someone to help me....he laughed...

As a you kid and teenage years I use to dream of being on a pacific Island, palm trees and what not often sneeking Down this dirt road or sometimes comming thew the woods, comming upon a hut on stilts in this clearing and start fighting the ww2 Japanese to where i wake up, ive drempt about this hundreds if not a thousand times. Ok i Grew up out in the County on a lake wich is called the Dead river, originally river de morgue by the French. At this time its mosty camps, with few families living year around. Well almost all the camps are on the Lake side of the Road, but one streact of the road is pretty far from the lake and long grivways to get to the camps where you Cant see them, this strech has always given me the willys walking or riding my bikes at night. And there is one camp with a cable gate going across heading away from the lake, and ive never been back there which is stange, ive seem most of the camps and been exploring the wood for miles past this place, probably 4 miles past this into the rock bluffs that encase the river Valley. Well i was with my Brother and cousin one day driving by this place and pull over and said i just wanted to see the camp. The 3 of us start walking in and I in the lead, and Dejavu hit me so hard, i started to explain the turns in the road, how the camp on stilts would be postioned and about my dreams fighting the Japs to them. Well we came to the opening and sure enough a cabin on stilts, which is something ive never seen in our area positioned just as my Dream, i was like wtf and as im peeking in a window, my Brother says come check this out. Diagonaly off the Back corner was 5 bench logs to sit on around a firepit and closest to the woods in this oval of logs was about a 5ft headstone to this guy that fought the Japanese, so if he was actually buried there the fire pitt would be over his Grave. Any thoughts, but never had the dream again:).
