He is a the stereotypical old big bad trucker. I've seen some weird stuff with him while driving in south Texas along the border. He never batted an eye, but while telling me this story he had goose bumps and a concerned expression. Which from this guy is about the equivalent of a trembling lip and shit stained pants. I'll tell this story in the first person as he told it to me. Years ago in the late 90's I was on my way from the house (central Texas) heading to Loredo to pick up a load. It was early morning, around 4 or 5. I had just come off a string of days at home, so I know I wasn't tired. I am on one of those two lane winding roads in the absolute middle of bum fuck nowhere, when i see something on the side of the road at the edge of my high beams. At first i just thought it was roadkill, as is usually the case. As I get closer, I see that it is roadkill AND there's someone crouching over the deer carcass. I remember thinking either this guys taking the antlers as a trophy, or he's fucking sick. As I got closer still I can now see that's this guys eating the fucking deer. He's pulling chunks of meat from the stomach and bringing them up to his face. At this point he stops mid motion and looks up at me. Not at my truck, but at me. He/it stands up and that's when I see that its fucking huge, brown, and covered in hair. I remember thinking at this point, oh fuck. This thing is standing on the tiny shoulder looking at me. By this point, maybe 3 seconds have passed and I'm about to the point in the road he's standing at. I didn't even think of stopping, in fact I'm starting to lay on it and get the hell out of there. As I'm passing it, its looking at me, again not at the truck, its looking through the driver's side windshield at me. He obviously has the intelligence to know that there's a driver in here and knows where I'm sitting. As I start to pass him I can still see its head above the hood of an old needle nose Pete. (Old truck design where the hood goes straight out from the windshield, known for being tall and difficult to see around.) This thing is fucking giant. I remember seeing what looked like human intelligence in its eyes. It scares the shit out of me. Sorry for the wall of text. It's a story worth sharing though.

Maybe you have to be Catholic to have one. I"ve known so damn good people who could have used one and there were none available. I had a love hate relationship with our Creator for some years over some things that just aren't right and I can't wrap my head around. Anyway, this is a cool story. Have you had devine intervention at a critical time? Please tell me and tell me what you think of this story.... My dad told me and my brothers this story when we were growing up and it�s always stuck with me, particularly on long drives when I�m feeling a bit sleepy. The first time I remember hearing it was after I asked him if angels were real, I was probably 7 or 8 yo. He drove trucks decades ago, before I was born and before labor laws around limits and breaks were more standard (I�m assuming it�s different now?). He�d fairly regularly accept calls that would extend his shift to where he was driving 24, 36hrs, or more without a break longer than a quick bathroom or fast food stop. My dad has a pretty mathematical brain, he�s the type to make up logic puzzles out of something totally mundane just for fun. Whenever we were driving around town, he�d regularly ask me things like how long would it take us to get from home to the store if we were going 30 mph but had to stop for 5 minutes in the middle because a family of kittens were crossing the road, etc. He�d come up with similar equations for himself while he was driving solo that involved things he was seeing like the odometer, mileage markers, the time, and then he could test his speed based on the equation, etc. One night after having already driven a particularly long day, he noticed his eyes getting droopier and the whole roll-down-the-window-and-blast-the-music-up thing didn�t seem to be helping much. It was a rainy night on a pretty windy mountain road without a shoulder to pull over safely, so he started doing those logic games out loud to keep alert and awake. He was saying something to the effect of �I just passed mile marker 146 so what time will it be when I reach 200 if I�m going 55mph...� then he closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and felt his head do the nod-jerk thing which woke him up with a gasp. He opened his eyes to see he was driving straight towards mile marker 158, which would have sent his whole truck tumbling down a random ass mountain ravine. He was able to correct the course safely back, but it was a matter of seconds between that reality and certain death. He insists to this day that he slept through 12 miles of windy mountain road going 60+ mph, only to wake up right at the last moment between life and death. The story usually ends with him tearing up saying �I don�t know if there�s angels, but I know there�s something bigger going on in this universe than our human brains have been able to understand yet. If I wouldn�t have woken up right when I did, you kids wouldn�t be here today and that�s something that feels pretty close to spiritual.�

View MoreSkinwalker Sighting in Central Scotland OK, first off, I know a lot of people will think that this is a hoax because it�s in Scotland, but I don�t know how to explain this. I�m extremely familiar with Wendigos, Skinwalkers, Fleshgaits, all that crap, and there�s probably a not Native American possibility that I�m unaware of, but the only explaination to me is a Skinwalker. I apologise for my use of Scots slang in advance. I�m a teenager, won�t disclose age, and I go to a public high school in Perthshire, Scotland. It�s mostly a rural area, with mostly towns, villages and just houses dotting the landscape, although there are two major cities in my area. The high school I go to is in a medium-ish sized town, and for privacy reasons, I will not disclose its name. Not many people have had many paranormal encounters, although a few people claim to have seen ghosts and whatnot. Anyways, onto my encounter. I live in a large-ish house in the middle of a field with my family. It�s not too far from the town I go to school in, but I usually take the bus in just cos I�m a lazy git. Sometimes, me and my mates, let�s call them E, J and C, take a path through a nearby forest to come back to my place, where we just play video games, that sorta shit. This particular night, my parents were out of town and we decided to drink a bit of booze that we had in the mini-fridge in my room. I didn�t try much, I�m not much of a drinker, and beer�s not my thing, or C�s, really. E and J, however, they went all out. It got really late, or rather, early, and they decided to leave and head home. I said bye to them then headed back up to my room to play some more video games. About half an hour later, I heard a loud banging on my door. It was J and E. I let them in, and they started panicking. C goes home a different way to them, he lives a bit closer to me than the others. E and J said that they were walking through the woods and they saw a tall, skinny looking bloke pelting it towards them. They panicked and legged it back to my house, while the skinny fella gave chase. My mind went back to when another friend, somewhat of a paranormal buff, told me about Wendigos and Skinwalkers. I called 999 and said that a prowler was lurking around our house and had chased my mates back to my house. I gave the operator my address and said that they�d have a car or two to my house in an hour and a half, apparently there was a big traffic incident. �In the meantime,� she said, � arm yourselves, lock all doors and windows and lock yourself in a room. We did that, grabbing knives from the kitchen and barricading ourselves inside my bedroom. After a while, we heard heavy footsteps around our house, and thinking it was the police, I peered out of the window. What I saw was much worse. It was E. It looked exactly the same as her. I knew that she was sitting crying in my room. I freaked out and it saw me. �Wh-at the he-ell i-ss tha-at th-in-ng� Whatever the fuck was outside could speak, and it sounded exactly like J. It was a Skinwalker. I remember the description from my horror weirdo friend. It looked like my friend, but sounded like my other friend. It must�ve been confused, and that made it scarier. We heard sirens and the thing ran off into the woods. We told the police officers everything, and they checked it out. The officers left, after saying the woods were clear, then muttered something about �fucking prank callers�. After they left, we heard an inhuman shriek, but sort of human-like. We didn�t sleep at all that night. I believe that what we saw was a Skinwalker. I hope to God almighty that I never have to face that bloody thing again. However, if I do, I shall make a follow-up. It still has her in awe and me as well. I wonder if it could be something to do with the matrix and it was important that her son survive for some reason. I guess it could be any number of things. Probably one of those choosey guardian angels. Here ya go: I'm on my cell so pardon any formatting errors. It started with my 3 year old son having a seizure. Something told me to get up on the middle of the night to check on him. He was having a full blown grand mal seizure. Up to this point he was in perfect health. Needless to say I freaked out. After a visit to a Naval Hospital (husband was a Marine, stationed in Japan) in Jacksonville Florida. I was told he needed to be seen at an MRI clinic in Gainesville Fl. We had just moved to Florida a few months prior and I didn't know a soul. I was terrified about the upcoming appointment as it was scheduled for 0730 and I had absolutely no idea how to get there. I told the NAS Dr. about my fear and his advice was to buy a map. (No cell phones or GPS back then) So I pack up my two sons and head out at 3:30 am. I planned to stop at a gas station and either buy a map or ask someone if they knew the way to the Naval Hospital Gainesville MRI Clinic. Its about 4:15am at this point and I'm white knuckling it on the dark road to Gainesville. I'm in the right lane, when suddenly a car is to the left of me. The passenger window is down and an elderly male is motioning me to roll down my window. The interior to the car is lit and I notice he's looking at something like a metal note pad? It was weird. He then states " you're going to the MRI Clinic, follow me please." At this point I'm thinking he's a rapist who's going to lead me down a deserted road and do Lord knows what to me. We had stopped at two red lights. I wanted to ask him how he knew where I was going. He didnt ask, he KNEW. But I was too frightened to get out of the car. So I follow him. About 30 minutes later he came to a stop and pointed to the building. He led me right to it ! I looked at the building and then back towards the car. I wanted to get out and thank this kind stranger. Only there was no one there. No car, no tail lights from a distant car, nothing. I can remember this like it was yesterday. I'm not religious, but the only thing that makes sense about this was that it was a guardian Angel. My son was diagnosed with a type of Epilepsy which he outgrew in his teens. I did ask the Dr. In Jacksonville if he sent someone to help me....he laughed...

View MoreI don't know what I encountered in the Australian Woods After reading all the anecdotes on here, I wanted to write down my own experience that still freaks me out just thinking about it, I�m unsure if here is the best place to post it or anywhere else so suggestions welcome. Just down the road from where a few years ago I had previously lived-in South-East Australia, is the opening into about 100 Acres of woodlands and bush that I frequently went into when I younger to do the usual things, riding and camping etc. I was out driving at around 11:30pm with my girlfriend and as we were in the area decided to show her the woodlands while we were in the area as she loves everything to do with nature and it was summer so an extremely warm night. I left my car with the lights shining into the trees as we weren�t going too far in and it was pitch black inside and the two of us just kind of sat chatting, having a smoke and generally relaxing, she was sitting on a sort of map of the area that had been put in on some plastic and I was keeping an eye on the trees as I had a feeling that something was just wrong. I�ve read on here a few people have said that they have felt that they were in danger although nothing around them was off and it was this same feeling, every sense was almost reaching out and my adrenaline was up but there wasn�t really anything in my eyeline that seemed any different. After lighting another cigarette to calm my nerves, I scanned the treeline again and realised that it looked different to before. It was only after starting into the dark that I saw that there was moonlight now lighting up grass where it couldn�t before as there was a black shape blocking it that before I thought was a tree. I�ve got goosebumps just typing this but the only way to describe was that all sound just ceased and everything went dead silent and a few seconds later, this disgusting feeling of dread fell over me and I saw motion in the dark of the path as this thing crawled towards us on all fours. I�ve seen nearly every animal in the outback here and we don�t have any large predators like in the US or Europe but somehow I knew this thing was a predator and it wasn�t hiding itself from us but just slowly crawling forward towards us. I don�t know if my girlfriend saw it or night as I couldn�t look away but just as it reached the line my carlights were able to illuminate, it reared up onto two legs and just sat staring at us. I am 6�4 and this thing was about another metre larger than me, with arms that were far too long that reached down near the ground and all I could make out was an off-white almost yellowish fur on it and in the dim-light could make out the silhouette of its head as like a dog or wolf. I wasn�t able to move as it stared at me but it was at this point my girlfriend gasped which seemed to break of whatever was stopping me from thinking logically. I grabbed her by the arm and sprinted to my car, slammed the doors and tore out of there as fast as I could, both of us too scared to speak until about half an hour later. We�ve both discussed it many times and the feeling that we had was what I imagine a rabbit see�s when it catches a wolf or fox looking at it, that this is something that would be able to end us with absolute ease if it so chose. Neither of us have been able to come up with any explanation for what it was but it has definitely changed the way I view the woods and bush and when I go camping or hiking now, I think back to that and wonder what it was and if I will every see anything like it again. by anonymous
