Acts 2:32, KJV.
This last half of Peter's sermon brings the heart of his message.
Peter reminds the people that King David spoke of Christ, knowing Christ would come from his family's line and be the Eternal King.
Also, Peter reminded them that they took Jesus, who was without sin, and murdered Him on a cross.
Peter and the disciples, and more, saw Christ, who was dead, walking, talking, and eating among them.
This Jesus, whom they rejected and crucified, God Almighty has crowned King and Savior of mankind.
These people, believing the truth and realizing they are guilty before God, ask, "What shall we do?"
Peter says, "Turn away from sin, repent, be baptized in the name of Christ, follow Christ with all your heart, and you will be forgiven and saved."
The promise of the Holy Ghost will be given to you and your children; this same offer continues this very day.
And that day 3,000 souls were added to the church, and each day since then, the Lord has harvested souls from sinners, dedicated to Him, and guaranteed life everlasting with Christ the Lord. Amen.
