Wales has finally given voters a proper way to remove Members who face serious misconduct or a prison sentence, and it has required future rules against false statements in elections. That is the sort of basic honesty the public has been asking for.Too many politicians treat a win at the ballot box as a free pass to say whatever they like and stay put until the next election. A job representing people should never be a five-year shield against being caught out.The rest of the country should copy this. If we want trust back, voters must be able to send someone packing when they betray it, rather than sitting through years of damage first.
