Rescuers named her Artemis, after the ancient Greek goddess and protector of animals. For three days, Artemis survived under the ruins left by the missile attack. Without a home. Without her owners. Caught between life and death. And it seems she now has eight lives left. Most importantly, this brave little cat is finally safe. Russians often claim they are striking “military targets.” Yet somehow, after these strikes, it is people, children, dogs, and cats who are pulled from the rubble.
