In 2016, archaeologists discovered an ancient "Stonehenge" under the water of Lake Michigan, the age of which, as it turned out, exceeds 9 thousand years. In addition to the circular arrangement of the stones, alleged ritual platforms were found nearby - smooth, flat stones with depressions in the center. However, the main mystery was the images carved on the stones themselves. It depicts animals that have never lived in North America, such as the cobra, the mastodon, and the megaloceros. These findings have puzzled scientists: how could they have been recorded there if these species had never been found in the region? There are still no answers, but the discovery makes us think again about the lost pages of human history. What if ancient civilizations knew much more than we could imagine?
