A Harvest of Fellowship
Today we had a lot of fun getting things we wanted and needed from a store that sells natural and organic produce and products.
A friend took us, and we got squash, onions, peppers, pumpkins, honey and other useful supplies from local farmers. We usually go earlier in the season, but didn't manage it before today.
The day was gorgeous, in the low 70's and sunny. It was a great day to take a car ride with my daughter and a friend to the place where tney were sold. We found some new things to try out as well.
We next went to a park area to enjoy the scenery. Though many trees had lost most of their leaves, there were still trees in yellow, gold bronze and copper shades. The sunshine and blue skies added the perfect accents.
The leaves in bright reds had mostly fallen, as had most of the bright oranges, but it was still a beautiful site. We stopped at an area by a lake and just walked around enjoying the beauty and taking pictures.
Afterwards we had lunch at a local restaurant and enjoyed the food and conversation. It was good to catch up, times flies by so fast.
It worked out for another friend to visit later today, so that was an added bonus. We had a good time.
The days that we can spend with one another are days to be treasured. And when a gorgeous day is added into the mix, it really brings added joy!
