View MoreSeptember 12, 2026, the 255th day of 2026 The Timelessness of the Bible The Bible is the word of God and it is unlike any other book out there. It will never lose its edge. It will never cease to influence. It will always move the seeking reader. It is never out of touch. It is always relevant. From the beginning of time until the end of time and beyond, the word of God will speak to each person. It will never fail to give us a message when we seek wisdom from its pages. "The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8 If we live in the city or in the country, rich or poor, it doesn't matter. We can always find answers in the Bible. "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account." Hebrews 4:12-13 The Bible will expose us to the truth, and it will work a work in us. It is alive as no other book is. It is powerful as it contains the message from our Creator God. It convicts us of our sin and offers us the path of salvation. God carries His message to us through the pages of the Bible. It can keep us from sinning if we learn and follow its teachings. "Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You." Psalms 119:11 The Bible can lead us in righteousness if we follow it. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. II Timothy 3:16-17 The Bible will keep us from darkness by lighting up our path. "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." Psalms 119:105 We need the word of God as much as we need physical food if we want to be whole. "But He answered and said, 'It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." ' " Matthew 4:4 God's word inspire faith. "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17 The sword of the Spirit, in the full armor of God, is the word of God. "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;" Ephesians 6:13-17 No matter how many times we read the Bible, there will always be something new and fresh for us there. As we grow in faith, God will reveal more to us through His word. It is such a wonderful gift! Stay strong! The Bible is never silent. Come to it to hear the word of God. NAN

View MoreSeptember 11, 2026, the 254th day of 2026 25 Years Later 9-11-26 God's Provision and Protection Should Never be Taken for Granted The terrorists of September 11th, 2001 did not just want to destroy the structures or the pride of our country, but the freedom of Americans to live without fear, within our borders, secure from enemy attacks. They wanted us fearful, a broken people. The fact that we can live our lives in freedom shows that the terrorists attack on this day 25 years ago has not changed the heart of our nation. We do not live in fear. We trust in God and we overcome. The fact that we bounced back so fast, while still mourning the loss of so many people, and using that loss to bolster our decision not to live in fear, proves they failed. The fact that my daughter, a friend and I were able to pick apples and grapes today, that another friend offered to us, means that the terrorists' scheme to make us live in constant fear, failed. Being able to go about our lives, as God intended for us, shows that the terrorists failed to change us into a fearful people. There have been moments of reflection, as there should be, when loss happens. And we should do soul searching to see if we have been drifting away from being a godly nation that God can keep protecting. 9-11-01 was a wake up call that brough many to churches and a deeper commitment. Even if it was only for a time, seeds planted spout and grow in their time. "The Harbinger" by Jonathan Cahn was written and altered many to our Forefathers' promises to God as they dedicated this nation and proclaimed it a Christian nation, under God, and accountable to Him. Blessing for obedience and God's lifting of His protection from a country for disobeying His principles. There were warning to turn back from a path that would lead to destruction if we remained on it. Many committed their life to Jesus. Many lukewarm Christians dedicated their lives to God. But there were also deep falls into darkness over these 25 years since. The enemy moved into our midst acting as a friend. Those wanting us to lose God's blessings tried to change our words and attitudes, and to overlook the chages taking place that would doom our nation by taking Christianity out of the public places. But Christians fought back, realizing that if we didn't do something America would be finished. President Trump was elected and sweeping reforms are being made. This year our nation was rededicated to God, and the heart of America beat stronger and surer! Now we must make sure that we do not slip backwards, so we can stay in God's favor and live fearless and free. Stay strong! Defeat the schemes of the enemy by trusting God and living free! NAN

View MoreSeptember 9, 2026, the 252nd day of 2026 Special Times With Friends It is good to have some things that we do with certain people, things to look forward to sharing with them. It doesn't mean that other people are not involved, but that we make time for our friendships. It is far too easy to have good intentions and never carry them through. We may feel good about ourselves because we really did intend to spend time, but things happened and we did not. We let it go, planning another time, with good intentions, and if we let the other things that come up have more sway than our friendships, our friendships will become mere fragment of what they should be. Nothing really broke them apart. There were no misunderstandings to fix. It was just lack of attentiveness to making sure we stayed connected. And that is a very sad things. I find that the Devil does not really have to work hard to break up connections between people. Good intentions and a busy life are all that it takes. We fight against all out attacks. We are in our guard. We gather our forces. We become prayer warriors for one another. But in calm days of everyday life, filled with a busy schedule, or overcoming the pressures at the end of a busy schedule, we can easily get complacent. This tactic works especially well for good people who really do enjoy time together, because other things may hold more sway to us than spending an enjoyable time with friends. But what is our fellowship with Jesus, but spending time with someone we enjoy being with? Jesus is all about relationships over other things that may need to be done, but can be put aside for a time, to make room for relationships. So, to make it easier for us to stay connected, it is good to find something that both you and your friend enjoy doing, and set aside that time, for that friend, to do that thing. Do not do it with someone else. If they camnot make it, or you cannot make it, reschedule it, or suffer the loss of it until it works. It may be a little drastic, but when friendships matter to us we sometimes have to take drastic steps to preserve them or to reconnect to them. Stay strong! Make time for one another and do not neglect that time. It is more important than you realize. NAN

View MoreSeptember 8, 2026, the 251st day of 2026 Changing Plans The much needed rain came today, and watered everything. We had quite the drenching, which was good as it was getting very dry again. Though today was wet, it was a gorgeous Labor Day weekend and Labor Day itself, so that was really nice. A lot of plans involved time outside, which the beautiful weather helped bring about. The rain today came hard enough and lasted long enough to change our afternoon plans. But our morning plans were fine. It went from pouring rain to drizzles by the time we were ready to shop. My sister picked up my daughters and me and we did some shopping. It was really nice getting to spend time together and get some things we wanted and needed. Even though the rain was basically over before 11 a.m., it remained damp amd overcast. So anything other than our normal farn chores outside, were out today. I can hardly complain about rescheduling for the rain, since this year has been a dry one. We really have not had to reschedule very often because of the weather. Other things have caused us to reschedule things, but the rain rarely was the cause. In our life we must make plans and schedule things, or we would easily overlook some things and overbook others. And though scheduling works most times for things outside of our daily chores, it can get shaken up and rearranged for many reasons. Because scheduling does not guarantee that we will be able to do all that we plan, even with lots of prayers tied to it. Weather and other things may come into play. But I know that whatever happens, that Jesus will be with us in it. We don't need to schedule God, but when we trust Him and pray, He is already a part of our day, whatever befalls. Whenever I make plans, even without saying it outloud, it is always, "Lord willing". That does not stop me from much, because walking with Jesus, most things that I am wanting to do, the Lord is willing for me to do as well. But when it comes to my plans being rearranged, that sometimes happens, and I figure there is a reason. If we could speak to one another about our day, we would find that while one thing made us need to rework our schedule, the same thing was advantageous for another's schedule. As a whole it would look a lot more organized than we imagine only seeing our side of it. Stay strong! Reworking, rescheduling and rearranging are often a part of life. That it doesn't happen all that often means that things are really moving along rather nicely. NAN
