View MoreApril 22, 2026, the 112th day of 2026 It is Easy to Disconnect It is way too easy to disconnect with one another, even when we are close friends, if we let time keep slipping by, and not making an effort to schedule a time to get together. The sad thing is that it is not on purpose. We really love our close friends and never want to lose them, but if we don't guard those friendships we will find that when we finally meet somewhere unexpected that we are like strangers, neither knowing what really had been happening in each other's life, the deep stuff, the stuff the world in general doesn't know. Sometimes it is busy lives, but we seem to find the time for what matters to us. We even find the tine for what doesn't matter to us, because we feel it is something we need to do, or we were roped into doing it. We often think because close friends will understand, that they can wait, we wind up pushing aside those we want to see, for others we would rather not see, because something keeps coming up that we need to deal with. But if we wait for things to be perfect and timing to be perfect, it will not happen. It has to be one of our priorities, or it will slip away without us even being aware. Friendships are important. We lift each other up. We know each other's histories. A lot of the background info does not need filled in, it is in our hearts already. But that makes it more important, not less important, to keep that communication flowing. There is not always another time when we do not make that time. There is not always tomorrow. When days go into weeks and weeks move into months, it is not long before months move into years. Then we think, "I guess they were close to us for that time of our life." But that is a crazy, stupid thought. Life is life and friends should not fall by the wayside because we fill up their space with something else. It happens too often, especially in the household of faith. Satan knows that the Holy Spirit can enlighten us on things when we are together, that we might miss when we are apart. Our friends can catch what we are missing, but only if we stay connected. It is part of spiritual warfare to not lose that connection to our brothers and sisters in Christ. Friendships are treasures. True friends are priceless. We should treat them as such! Stay strong! Stay connected to your friends and if you have let that connection slip away, reconnect! NAN

View MoreApril 20, 2026, the 110th day of 2026 Don't be Pulled In There are tines we are called upon to stand for our faith, to hold the line, no matter the cost. There are times we must stand witb the truth against lies, and warn others of the dangers of deception. There our times that our convictions will cause friends and/or family to walk away from us, because they don't share those convictions and they won't be friends with someone they do not agree with. As it gets closer to the end we will be persecuted more and more, about things that really matter and are of eternal consequences. But until that time when it is choose Jesus or side with the Antichrist, we have to be able to differentiate between godly battles and the enemy's traps. Right now we have a small reprieve in America, where the gospel can go out unhindered. President Trump is standing with God and rededicating our country to God the Father, through His Son Jesus Christ, with the power of the Holy Spirit on May 17th. But he has already done a lot to reverse the enemy's foothold on this country, from day 1 in office. So we have less of the enemy's agenda to deal with openly, but they have not stopped, they just gone underground awaiting a more favorable time. For now, most of the time, it is not standing with Jesus, the truth or our convictions that causes strife, it is being pulled into foolish arguments and suppositions. We have to be able to discern the difference, because the enemy uses guile to pull us in. We think that we are defending the truth, when truth is not really the issue, because truth means nothing to them. It is all about speculation. The intent is to entangle us with "what ifs" and the like, trying to whittle down our patience, our emotional reserves and trap us in the enemy's snare. "It is honorable for a man to stop striving, since any fool can start a quarrel." Proverbs 20:3 The Internet is filled with fools starting quarrels. We may get pulled in at the start, but we have to know how to exit wisely. We need to learn to step back and step out of it. Much of the Intetnet has become one of the enemy's favorite tools. It is where we cannot let down our guard. More and more lies and A.I. images, stories and videos should make us wary of everything, not automatically trusting anything. Otherwise, we can be sucked into an endless web of deceit meant to cause division and stress. Stay strong! Don't be pulled into evil's traps! NAN

View MoreApril 18, 2026, the 108th day of 2026 Highs and Lows and In-between I expected that my next post that had to do with weather would be something about Spring in full bloom. I did not expect a nearly 40° drop in temperature from the high of yesterday to the high of today. But that is exactly what happened. Sunshine and 75°F high yesterday was a perfect day to be outside, enjoying the farm and the animals. It was really a relaxing day. Thunderstorms were predicted for early evening, and because of the temperature drop expected there was concern of strong winds, hail and even the chance of a tornado if the temperatures dropped too swiftly. In some places, that is what happened, but not here. The thunderstorms came, but the temperature did not drop swiftly around us. It was a slow and steady drop. We got quite a bit of rain and some lightning and thunder, but it came and went pretty fast. Later we had a bit more rain and a steady drop in temperature brought us from 75°F to 29°F this morning. Our high today reached 37°F. The sun came out brightly for part of the day, which helped. But the breeze made it chillier than it would have felt otherwise. Two days of sunshine and temperatures in the mid 70's did a great job of melting the snow and thawing the ground, after earlier thunderstorms and days of rain made a pretty good start. So when the rain came yesterday, it was able to sink into the ground nicely. So though it wasn't a day to spend outside enjoying the weather, it wasn't bad either, when we needed ti go out. Our fickle Spring is still going steadily forward. The snow is gone. The ground is thawed. The days are longer. More lakes have thawed. Even the colder days are still pretty nice. In the midst of what might be, and what is, we seek the Lord. So it is natural to seek God when it comes to our weather. "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe." Proverbs 18:10 Stay strong! What might be is not always what is, and sometimes the difference is your prayers. NAN
