Good and Faithful Servant
A lot of blessings come in salvation. But also a lot of responsibility. What is it that Christians look forward to hearing at thr end? It gives a clue to our position. Jesus shows it in this parable, to be praised by our Lord as a "good and faithful servant".
“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ ”
Matthew 25:21
Jesus gives us things that we need to be faithful with, to do His will with, talents, gifts, family and friends. If we cannot be faithful in what He trusts us with in this lifetime, how can we be trusted with anything in the next?
Jesus, King if kings and Lord of lords, expects us to be faithful to the will of the Father as He is, and was in this life, and always will be. A King and Lord Who for our sakes took on the role of a servant. And we, His servants are expected to do the same.
Stay strong! Serving Jesus is a blessing, a Master Who loves you like no other!
