Can God Trust You?
It is one thing to trust God, He is righteous, our Creator, our all powerful God, it is another for God to trust us.
Though some people do not trust God, it is not because God is untrustworthy, but because they do not have the faith to trust. Or they do not want to believe in God.
But the question I have is, "Can God trust us?" If God has something inconvenient or costly for us to do, to tend or to take care of, could He expect that we would do it?
I would hope so. But the thing is, God does not make it that simple. He does not come to us in a booming voice, with bright rays of sun streaming out of the clouds, clearly heard, with a clear request. Not many of us would have the nerve to say "no" to God then.
But His requests come by way of putting things in front of us, that we either turn away from, cross over on the other side to avoid, or step in and tackle. Basically like the Good Samaritan story.
We have free will to look away and ignore, to walk away. But we should already know from the teachings of Jesus, that we would not be doing His will in that case.
We cannot help everyone and do everything. But God does not expect us to. What He expects us to do is to be trustworthy and faithful, people He can drop a need in front of us and we respond, not just with least we can do, but above and beyond.
Stay strong! Be the kind of person God can trust with important tasks.
