God's Provision and Protection Should Never be Taken for Granted
The terrorists of September 11th, 2001 did not just want to destroy the structures or the pride of our country, but the freedom of Americans to live without fear, within our borders, secure from enemy attacks. They wanted us fearful, a broken people.
The fact that we can live our lives in freedom shows that the terrorists attack on this day 25 years ago has not changed the heart of our nation.
We do not live in fear. We trust in God and we overcome.
The fact that we bounced back so fast, while still mourning the loss of so many people, and using that loss to bolster our decision not to live in fear, proves they failed.
The fact that my daughter, a friend and I were able to pick apples and grapes today, that another friend offered to us, means that the terrorists' scheme to make us live in constant fear, failed.
Being able to go about our lives, as God intended for us, shows that the terrorists failed to change us into a fearful people.
There have been moments of reflection, as there should be, when loss happens.
And we should do soul searching to see if we have been drifting away from being a godly nation that God can keep protecting. 9-11-01 was a wake up call that brough many to churches and a deeper commitment. Even if it was only for a time, seeds planted spout and grow in their time.
"The Harbinger" by Jonathan Cahn was written and altered many to our Forefathers' promises to God as they dedicated this nation and proclaimed it a Christian nation, under God, and accountable to Him. Blessing for obedience and God's lifting of His protection from a country for disobeying His principles. There were warning to turn back from a path that would lead to destruction if we remained on it.
Many committed their life to Jesus. Many lukewarm Christians dedicated their lives to God.
But there were also deep falls into darkness over these 25 years since. The enemy moved into our midst acting as a friend. Those wanting us to lose God's blessings tried to change our words and attitudes, and to overlook the chages taking place that would doom our nation by taking Christianity out of the public places.
But Christians fought back, realizing that if we didn't do something America would be finished. President Trump was elected and sweeping reforms are being made. This year our nation was rededicated to God, and the heart of America beat stronger and surer!
Now we must make sure that we do not slip backwards, so we can stay in God's favor and live fearless and free.
Stay strong! Defeat the schemes of the enemy by trusting God and living free!
