True Happiness Comes From Goodness
There is no true happiness in selfishness, but that is what the world preaches.
The world, the flesh and the Devil all agree. "Put yourself first." "Your happiness matters most, so ditch whatever commitment you made, if you are not happy." "Self affirmation is the key." Blah, blah, blah.
It is an endless cycle of disappointments as you were not made to worsbip yourself or make happinrss your god.
You were made to worship God and find happiness in obeying Him. God is the only One to know the way to true happiness, the others point to destruction.
True happiness is to be blessed by the Lord, and the selfish will not be blessed by God.
To throw away goodness in order to find happiness, is to go against everything that leads to true happiness.
Turn to Jesus instead. Repent and surrender to Him as your Lord and Master, your King and you will be free of seeking after what you will never find otherwise.
Elusive, fickle, temperamental are all words we can use to describe the happiness the world offers. Without goodness even the greatest happiness will turn in on itself. Then it becomes sadness amd depression.
Seeking happiness leads to despair. Seeking Jesus leads to true happiness, the joy of the Lord that is independent of the situation you find yourself in.
Stay strong! Seek Jesus and you will find more than you ever imagined!
