God Makes a Way
When we trust in Jesus with our lives, we know Jesus is faithful with it. We don't need to understand all the reasons He does some things, allows some things and not others. We trust that He has His reasons.
When every morning we give the new day to Jesus, as an act of our free will surrender, God will make a way where there wasn't a way before.
It is wonderful to behold when we are about our business, doing the best we can with what we have, that suddenly the exact help we need comes to us.
It made be a cool breeze on a hot day. It may be holding back rain until we finished an outdoor project. It may be unexpected financial help. It may be an item we lost, found. It may be an unexpected gift that makes us feel special and acknowledged.
There are so many ways that are unique and individual to each of us, but we know those moments and those times.
In everyday life, God does things that need to be done. We usually don't even see them to acknowledge them. But they keep our lives running smoother than they would otherwise run. As any good parent takes care of the essentials, He does.
But also as a good parent, He does not give help when it is not asked for. If we are stubborn and want to do something on our own, that is really beyond our ability, He does not push in and do it Himself. He lets us attempt it. And if we never ask for help, He will let it fail or succeed without His input. But the success will never be all that it could have been. And the failure will be far worse than we anticipated. But hopefully we learned a lesson in the process about refusing to acknowledge our need for help.
But if in the process we humble ourselves and ask for help, no matter what stage we are at, God will help and make something good out of it. Even if it is not the best it would have been if we had asked Him at the start, it is still good. And if we have learned to turn to God at tbe start, it is a good lesson.
We will never outgrow our need for God's help. The older and wiser we become, the more we realize how much we actually need His help in everything. We will never reach the stage of going it alone, without God. And we should be grateful that that is the case.
It is only the love of God that could possibly see potential in such creatures as we are. That He chooses to use us always amazes me. It would always be easier for God to do everything Himself, but we would never grow if that were the case. So for our benefit, He helps us instead, when we ask.
That is why praying without ceasing is important. It is that open conversation with God that invites Him into every aspect of our lives, and does not shut the door on Him to anywhere or anything in our lives.
Stay strong! Rejoice in the ways God makes a way in your life where there was none.
