The Greens and Blues of the Northwoods
There is something otherworldly to the vibrant greens and blues of the Northwoods, in this time of Spring growth with Summer temperatures.
What took so long to begin, has blasted its way into a full out growth of spectacular colors.
The flowering trees are amazing and the mix of the various scents of plum blossoms, lilacs with the hint of vanilla from the wild cherries--as they are all blooming at the same time this year--is such a unique, ever changing, fragrance.
But even without all of that, if you simply look up at the sky, such a clear and deep blue, above and between the various shades of green leaves and needles, it will take your breath away.
But there is no need to be concerned as all of that needful oxygen is abundant in the Northwoods.
The air is refreshing, filling the Northwoods with so much oxygen that we take in, as we give them our carbon dioxide, that they need. Together we flourish. It is a God given cycle that blesses all of us.
Then gaze upom the blues of the lakes, with the reflections of the trees around them, and another image of unsurpassed. beauty appears.
Today it is warm, but not humid. So sitting out, walking, biking or working in it is wonderful.
A slight breeze blows the chimes anout and adds music to the mix. I love that almost everyone I visit has chimes, all kinds, in different directions played by the breeze at different times depending on where it is coming from and changing with the speed of each breeze.
God is so wise and creatinve and utterly amazing to give us such pleasure for all of our senses!
Stay strong! Stop and enjoy the changes around you and breath a prayer of thanksgiving to God!
