Wet and Dry
It was another very wet morning. We had a few streaks of sunshine in the midst of it, but then more rain. Drip, drop, drip, drop, now dripping from thr trees and the roof. The rain looks to have stopped, but it is still too chilly for me to want to take a walk out in it quite yet.
I got a bit spoiled by the sunshine and warmth of the early Fall and the ability to walk, bike and work at almost any time there was daylight. I know that is shifting now, but it still takes adjusting to.
This morning was the kind of morning that was soggy and chilly, but it did water the earth nicely. It had been a pretty dry month before this wave of rain. The couple days of drizzles we had did its share, but not really much.
But the sun is starting to brighten more of the sky, pushing out the gray and bringing in the blue. It looks promising.
God gives us what we need when we turn our life over to Him. Sometimes we need to adjust our day to compensate for it, but we already understand that.
Sometimes that means working through weather. Sonetimes it means changing our plans to the situation we face. But knowing that God is above it all makes all the difference.
Yes, we battle darkness. But even then we have the strength of God on our side.
Stay strong! There is beauty in all kinds of weather, even if the beauty is watching it through a window while staying inside snuggly and warm.
