America exists because of God, and our commitment to Him and His principles from the very start. Biblical teachings are foundational to America and were carefully protected and preserved in our culture for quite some time. The Bible, with its teachings and warnings, have been the guidebook to this nation. But success and prosperity often breed complacency and neglect. Allowing godly principles to be taken from the schools and the government were terrible steps that set America up for a crumbling of righteous living and trust in God. Anti-Biblical principles embraced instead have led to a decline in all aspects of our society. The Devil knows that without Jesus on our side, that we are doomed to fail as a Nation. We become easy targets for Satan's schemes. Turning away from God is detrimental to the wellbeing of America. And it is why Satan has tried to twist what God teaches, into something against God's way. If America fails to follow Jesus, but chooses to turn away from Him instead, we will face judgment. A good leader understands this and strives to instill this in the hearts of the people. A bad leader will work with those who would turn us away fron God and cause our downfall to proceed unhindered. President Trump rededicating America to God and reaffirming our commitment to follow our Creator God and His ways, is something more powerful than we can even imagine. It is not just words. It is a covenant with God. And how we handle that covenant will determine how America moves foreword. This verse is as true today as it was when written. "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." II Chronicles 7:14 It is up to the people of God, to stay obedient and humble and if not, to repent and turn away from wicked ways and turn back to God. That commitment needs to impact our entire country and our policies, not just our private lives. America was founded as a Christian nation and we need to regain lost ground, not let the enemy retain the ground it has stolen. It will be an uphill battle as many gain from a weak and faithless America. It will take a lot more time, effort, will power and endurance to repair what was lost, than it took to destroy it in the first place. But it is well worth it! Stay strong! View MoreMay 14, 2026, the 134th day of 2026 Sitting Out Musing The day is beautiful and sunny, though it took a while to warm up from the chilly start of 30°F. It is 63°F now and is supposed to get up to 67°F. Since it is around half past noon, it should be possible. Right now it is warming up with a bit of a cool breeze making it comfortable in long sleeves, unless you are out working in it. Then you would probably heat up fast. Since I was doing indoor work until a bit ago, my long sleeves are comfortable on the shady porch as I take in the slight changes around me. There is still only the rare early blooming trees that have bloomed, llike the Juneberry and the forsythia bush. With it still dipping below freezing almost every night, most people have not planted their gardens. Any hanging basket that would bloom in warm weather, would need to be taken in at night. So not a lot of those are being seen yet either. But there are still no blossoms on the lilacs and crabapple trees, which are usually blooming wonderfully for Mother's Day and afterwards. It looks like another one of those years when mid and late blooming trees are blooming at the same time. It is spectacular when that happens, but so short-lived. Blooming at the proper time may not make as much of am impact at once, but it gives a steady stream of blossoms for insects and hummingbirds, as well as a pleasure to behold. I feel sorry for the bees, butterflies and hummingbirds especially. Even with hummingbird feeders up, they usually get a lot of nutrients from the flowers. And where can the bees flitter about to? There is hardly even a dandelion to be seen. The grass is greening up, but still pretty short in most places. Some of the leaves on the trees have opened up, but not enough to give the leafed out effect yet. They are still so tiny. What will the days ahead bring? Only God knows, the forecast is all over the place. At least all the snow is finally gone! Spring is slowly immerging, but will probably bump into summer before we know it. Stay strong! Enjoy the slow and steady changes as well as the changes that seemingly happen overnight! God is with you in all of them! NAN

What should have been done, can no longer be done. Chances are over. Choices are over and what is, is set. There will be no "do overs". There will be no chance to do later what was put off. We are so used to always having later, always having tomorrow. But one day later will not be available tomorrow will be no more. It is best to do what is important right away. It is best to not leave the good undone. It is best to seek out Jesus, repent and turn away from your sins, and surrender to Him as your Lord and Master, your King. When you do that, the end of time is just a gateway to eternity. And eternity never ends. "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels." Revelation 3:5 If you do not, when this time ends, so do all of your chances to make that choice. Then, unrepentant and unsaved you will face the judgment. God's judgment is final. There is no appeal. There is no reprieve. There is no parole. "And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:12-15 If you have not turned to Jesus, do so now. It is the best use of the time you have been given. "We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says: 'In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.' Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." II Corinthians 6:1-2 And: "Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called 'Today,' lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said: 'Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.'" Hebrews 3:12-15 And again: "Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?
