Canning Apple Pie Filling
Today we canned apple pie filling. In the process we also started the apple cider vinegar going.
It has been a busy fall season, so I finally got to canning some of the apples that a friend let us pick earlier in the season.
Before this we made hot apple/cranberry juice and spiced apple/cranberry juice during Cranberry Fest weekend. Today, while I was chopping apples we put on a pot of cranberries and apples to simmer for hot spiced apple/cranberry juice tonight.
It is nice to get another step done in our canning this year. I still have more to do yet, but each one done is helpful and a blessing.
I thank God that we are able to do canning. It is even more important now with all the chemicals in even the simplest product.
