Family
God not only puts all kinds of people into the same family, but all kinds of gifts.
The uniqueness of each individual is not only in their looks and personality, but their gifts and talents.
Within families there are strengths and weaknesses, that not all share, but can understand easier having dealt with them.
Part of growing up is learning to appreciate one another, not envy their gifts, but encourage them.
Another part of growth is to not fall into the traps of family weaknesses. Those weaknesses are like furrows in a path, that are easy to get pulled into, if we are not vigilant.
Each family has its own dynamic, but the most varied of all families is the family of God. We get to be a part of it when we repent and turn from our sins to Jesus, as our Lord and Master, our King.
Turning away from sin is vital, becaise when we are turned toward sin we are turned away from Jesus. Our back is to Him.
So in order to face Jesus we need to repent and turn awayb from sin.
We are choosing our path. Following sin which leads to death, or Jesus, Who leads to life.
"For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:20-23
Only one will have our allegiance. Which will it be?
Stay strong! Don't stay on the path that leads to death, choose life in Jesus!
