God Gives
God is always giving or we would all be dead. We are not really made to live without Him. And even those who deny Him live because of Him.
He is our Creator and the One Who sustains us and blesses us with all good things. Everything good comes from God, and yet people repeatedly choose the enemy of God, the one who causes evil and destruction. Why? Because he promises what he cannot fulfill, happiness.
Because true happiness only comes from doing good and being good. Aligning ourselves with God and His righteousness is where true happiness exists.
Selfishness will not lead to happiness. Betrayal will not lead to happiness. Coveting what is not ours will not lead to happiness. Even getting what we covet will not lead to happiness.
Pleasure will not lead to happiness, but we often pursue pleasure to try to find happiness. But without goodness, happiness is not possible.
Without contentmenrt and appreciation, even if we got everything our heart desired, any happiness we managed to grasp would soon slip away.
The more we seek happiness the more elusive it becomes. But when we live a life that follows the steps of Jesus, happinrss follows.
Stay strong! True happiness comes from goodness, and goodness comes from God!
