Smoke or Heat
I guess it is time to add another post on what is happening with our Summer weather so far. I would not have imagined early last week that we would be dealing with air quality issues again.
Yesterday it was hot, and the air quality was better because we were not getting the Canadian wildfire smoke as we were on the cooler days.
The first day of smoke was hot and smokey, but since then the cooler days have been terribly smelly and the hot days have been mildly smelly.
The cooler days would have been perfect for outdoor activities besides swimming, except the air quality is so bad that it is almost instant headaches. And when the smoke surrounds us, burning eyes are also a part of it.
It is not good for humans or animals, and since we are used to deeply breathing in fresh air, it is really a shock to our systems to have toxins come in with every breath outdoors.
We pray for the kind of rain to pour on all the fires, to put them out and soak the ground so a fire couldn't start or spread from these fires.
Most everyone has to still go about their days. We cannot just stop everythjng and wait for their smoke to clear. So, this is a real issue for everyone. I hope that those in the midst of the fires also turn to God in prayers to bring the rains and put out the fires.
It doesn't seem that those in charge are handling it very well. This is definitely a time when Dad needs to step in and handle it. Since God is the Father of every Christian, we need to ask Him to step in and deal wirh those neighbors of ours. It would benefit them as well as us!
Stay strong. Pray for help to end these fires in Canada and the ones springimg up in America and other places.
