Hot and Humid!
Overall June was probably cooler and wetter than a typical year, but it is going out with a heat wave!
It is not just hot, it is humid! That is really unusual for us. It was 81°F by 9:00 am. Thunderstorms were predicted early and late, but early ones never came. We won’t know if the late ones come until it is late.
It rained last night. After morning clouds the sun shown bright and strong, making for a hot day, especially with the humidity.
We had too much to do on the farm today to take off to swim, otherwise it would have been the perfect day for it. I am sure that many were out on the lakes, and in the lakes today!
Thankfully we don't get too many days in a row of any kind of weather, a quirk of the Northwoods. So anything goes for tomorrow!
I am so thankful that in every day and in all kinds of weather, God is present and helps us.
This is a day that one of the least used greetings can be heard across the Northwoods: "Stay cool!"
Now for the ice cream!
