Fireworks!
"He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap."
Ecclesiastes 11:4
I thought of this verse when we were invited to the fireworks display yesterday and they were predicting thunderstorms.
It wasn't just the forecast, even the sky looked dark and there was a breeze that could have blown in something.
People didn't need weather apps in the past to keep them from doing something because of a forecast. It is good to plan for weather, but not let all the forecast stop us from doing things because it might happen.
All it takes nowadays for things to get cancelled is the threat of bad weather, but they did not cancel the fireworks.
We prayed and got ready to go.
And it was one of the most perfect nights, almost made to order.
It was warm, but not hot. It had a slignt breeze, but barely. It was enough to keep away the bugs though.
It was not damp, so blankets on the ground did not get wet. It was just wonderful!
We had a good time while waiting. We bought some frozen treats from the Lions and their volunteers.
Then we set up the blankets and chatted as the darkness fell.
Then the National Anthem played and we knew the fireworks would soon follow, and they did!
Beautiful! Such a great display! We had a really enjoyable evening!
Stay strong! Enjoy our 250th birthday celebrations whenever you can!
