Sadly, our people are not mentally nor spiritually prepared to face the supernatural
entering in of Satan and his angels when they are cast out of heaven to this earth (Rev. 12:7-9).
.
There shall be a time when the last grain of sand runs out of the final hour glass in this generation and we will see the appearance of the little horn, Satan, the false Messiah, the "abomination of desolation", come stand in the holy place claiming to be God.
One thing is more certain in life than death and taxes, and that is our Father's Word.
It is written and, as the angel told Daniel, it is True!
.
As we read earlier, the whole world will be mesmerized and overflown (swept away) with the false messiah's flood of lies and deceits and not only that, he will possess great credentials to multiply the deception with his ability to perform "miracles in the sight of men", like commanding fire (lightning) to fall from heaven (Rev. 13:13) .

Many of us have grown up with the concept of Satan as an evil-appearing man running around in a little red suit carrying a three-pronged pitch fork, and thus we'd be able to spot this 'wicked one' in a crowd anywhere.
But such is not the case, for if you read of the beauty and charm and wisdom of this charismatic one in Ezekiel 28 you will then understand how it is that the people of this world, including the majority of Christianity, will love him when he arrives.
That is because they will see him as "an angel of light" (2 Cor. 11:14), even as the Messiah, and not as a wicked evil one, i.e. Satan.

Furthermore, they will marvel when he heals the deadly wound to the New Word Order and ushers in world peace, though it be only temporary.
He will also fix everybody's bank account and grant more entitlements to the people of the world than any leader before him in the history of mankind.
And we have seen "in type" in this final generation that character and Truth does not matter to many near as much as, "It's the economy, stupid!"
We have also seen in type how that those who work deceitfully, utterly despise those rascally men and women of God, those "bruisers" who are wise to their ways of deceit and flattery, and who expose their evil deeds by shining the light of Truth on them.
Yes, the great tribulation of these last days will be a time of "globalization" and "peace and prosperity", NOT a time of world wars and rumors of world wars (Mat. 24:6-7).
As we have learned already in this great Book of Daniel, Satan, the false-christ, enters in "prosperously and peaceably" and simply takes the kingdom because the world will believe that Messiah has come.
So let us continue with our study, keeping in mind that we are now reading about events yet future when the vile person, the little horn, i.e. the false messiah, is present defacto.

Remember we concluded our speculations and overlays of the events leading up to the sound of the 6th Trump, which is the entering in of the vile person, when we got to verse 21.
We learned that up to that appointed time, all of man's attempts at peace treaties and covenants came to naught, but the "vile person", the false messiah, the "religious beast" of Revelation 13 will be able to achieve it.

Daniel 11:23
"And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people."
.
Don't think for one minute just because the false messiah enters in and heals the deadly wound and establishes a covenant of peace that everything is now fine and dandy, for his flood of lies and deceits will have just begun.

Furthermore,
he will be willingly aided by the small or "little people" who are the sons of Cain, the Kenites.
You could call them chips off the old "little horn" for they are the "bad figs" of Jeremiah 24 and the "tares" of Matthew 13, i.e. Satan's own grand-children.
Notice also that the Hebrew word translated "people" in this verse is "gowy", which figuratively means "a flight of locusts", even as these Kenites are the foot soldiers of that locust army that comes against our people.

Apparently from the same root as H1465 (in the sense of massing); a foreign nation; hence a Gentile; also (figuratively) a troop of animals, or a flight of locusts: - Gentile, heathen, nation, people.
Here again is how the vile person, the little horn, enters in.

Daniel 11:24
"He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time."

Remember that this will be a time of "spiritual trouble" such as never was nor ever shall be (Dan. 12:1).

Again, antichrist will do something no other leader or predecessor has ever done.
He is going to provide (scatter among the people) the ultimate entitlement programs of peace, security, and prosperity such as the world has never seen.
As the saying goes, he is going to provide "a chicken in the pot" for everyone...
every one who will follow after him
and "love him" that is!
Do you have a price?
Will he be able to buy your loyalty by paying off all your debts?

Remember it is written that the old dragon, that religious beast of Rev. 13:11, will exercise all the power of the 'first' beast, the One World System, i.e. the New World Order, which means he is going to have "a well oiled machine" that he will interweave throughout the world against all strong holds, even until the end of the age.

Daniel 11:25
"And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him."
.
Remember that this takes place after the sound of the 6th Trump, when the little horn, has arrived.
That is why this king of the south cannot be found in history...
because it is yet future from now.
The point is though, there shall be a great army of people belonging to the king of the south, but "he shall not stand", i.e. will make no stand against the leadership of Satan and his own little people who shall "forecast devices",
as in fabricate lies and deceit, against him.
In fact, the only ones who shall "stand" in that day are God's elect, who we shall read of a few verses hence.

The next verse helps explain why the king shall not make a stand.

Daniel 11:26
"Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain."
.
You "see", the king of the south doesn't have a prayer of a chance in taking a stand against the little horn because his own people will fall before the false messiah, as in, be 'taken in' by the flood of deception and those devices forecast against them.

This is all part of the great "spiritual" desolation that shall take place by the overflowing army of Satan.

Daniel 11:27
"And both these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed."

We sure have seen examples of "kings" lying to one another at one table lately, haven't we, e.g. think, the UN security council?

Nevertheless, our Father's Plan concerning the time of the end shall come to pass "exactly" as it is written, which means that the whole world will be deceived by the false messiah...
with the exception of those who have "the seal of God" in their foreheads.

Daniel 11:28
"Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land."

Don't make this complicated for it is not.
Remember from our reading of Revelation 12:13-15, that Satan, the old dragon, called "the vile person and the little horn" here in Daniel, comes after and persecutes 'the woman', representing Christianity, i.e. those who keep the holy Covenant by believing in Jesus Christ.

And as it is written, the vile person, who is the son of perdition, shall do exploits which means he will act effectively, as in be very successful, in spreading his spiritual desolations which cause the great "falling away" spoken of by Paul in 2 Thes. 2:3.
And let no man deceive you by any means!
This he shall do BEFORE Jesus Christ returns and we gather back to Him at the sound of the 7th (and final) Trump.

"At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter."

Satan shall return after accomplishing his great "exploits" but now all of a sudden things don't run as smoothly as before and they begin to go awry because he encounters a big, big problem...
God's elect, the "bruisers" of the serpent, the servants of True King of kings and Lord of lords!

What is it that gives the false messiah so much grief to the point he becomes indignant?
Actually the same thing that makes all liberals indignant...
Truth and righteousness!
They can't stand men and women of God who expose their evil deeds and shine the light of Truth upon their wicked ways!
Yes, that old dragon becomes extremely wroth with God's elect who give him a spiritual thumping and bruising to the point that it causes him to breath fire from his nostrils (figuratively speaking).

If you check out the phrase "the ships of Chittim" in Hebrew you will find it means "the appointed bruisers".

Did you know it was prophesied from the very beginning, way back in Genesis chapter 3, that the woman's seed would bruise the head of the serpent, that old dragon?

Genesis 3:14-15
[14] "And the LORD God said unto the serpent, "Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:""

These are idiomatic statements of 'degradation' in Hebrew simply stating in "figurative" language that Satan would always be "a low life", or as we would say one who is "lower than a snakes belly"!

Genesis 3:15
"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

Christ's heel was bruised at His crucifixion by the seed of the serpent, the children of Cain, but it shall be the good seed, or the children of God that shall be the appointed "bruisers", the ships of Chittim in these last days.

In other words, while the whole world, even great armies of people like we read about earlier, shall all bow to the "false messiah" and no king will therefore be able to make a stand.
God's elect are not taken in by his miracles and overflowing deception but rather they step forward and "take a stand" against the fiery darts of the wicked one (Eph. 6), that old dragon.
Of course we know that it will be the "Stone cut out without hands", i.e. Jesus Christ, that will ultimately smash and destroy him, but God's elect will "knock him around" and "kick his dragon derriere" for "a time".
Satan is going to wine and dine anyone who is willing to be swayed,
including those who shall betray their sons and daughters and loved ones by delivering them up to him.
They will deliver them up to him because they will believe he is Christ!

Assyria also took many from the other Two Tribes when they took all the fenced cities of The "House of Judah."

II Kings 18:13 Makes it clear that much of the House of 'Judah' was also taken by Assyria and most likely went with the House of
'Israel' over the Caucasus Mountains when Babylon overthrew Assyria!

That means it was only those in and around Jerusalem, who were left of the House of "Judah" for Nebuchadnezzor to carry into Babylon 135 years later.

It is this group of Israelites after mixing with descendants of Cain (Kenites) while in Babylon that we now call Jews, and who later, in 740 A.D. mixed with the Khazar empire (another group of Kenites) who now populate the tiny country in the middle east called Israel today.

Hosea 2:6 says,

In this verse, wasn't God was making it clear that the Israelites were not to return to Palestine?

Who was it that told you such a thing and where did they get that idea?

It is precisely because some of the Thessalonians believed that the day of the Lord was at hand, as do so many believers in the pre-trib Rapture Theory today, that Paul wrote this second letter to "straighten them out" on this urgent matter!

It is EXTREMELY important that Christians understand the "chronological order of events", which are about to take place, because as Paul will make clear to even the simplest reader, there is a "supernatural one" coming first, BEFORE Jesus Christ returns, and he will look just like the Messiah, and he will call himself Jesus Christ.

Unfortunately, those who are expecting the return of Jesus Christ at any moment will surely believe the second advent has taken place because they "don't know" there are two Jesus Christs, the real one and the imposter who is called in Scripture "anti-christos".
"Anti" means "instead of" as in "a substitute".

In today's exciting study we are going to discover what the Word of God says concerning the second advent as we begin to carefully examine chapter two of Paul's second letter to the Thessalonians.
However before we begin, take a moment and carefully consider the words the great scholar E.W. Bullinger wrote in his Introductory to "How to Enjoy the Bible", Kregel Publications, pg. 6.

"When we come to ask ourselves, and say, 'Where did I learn this?' 'How did I get this?' 'Who taught this to me?' it is astonishing to find out how much we have absorbed from man, and from tradition; and not directly and for ourselves, from the Word of God.
"All that we have learned from our youth up "must" be tested and proved by the Word of God. Where we find it is True we must learn it over again, from God. And where it will not stand the test of His Word we must be not only content, but thankful to give it up; and receive Divine revelation in the place of man's imagination."

Now carefully consider the Word of God.

2 Thessalonians 2:1
"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him,"

We've just been "beseeched"!
Do you know what that means?
It means that Paul is imploring us not to do something concerning the subjects of "the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering unto Him".

Here is what he begs us not to do:

[2] "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand."

You better not be "wishy washy" about this subject or have any doubts whatsoever when it is that we gather back to Jesus Christ!

Furthermore, there is no need to be ignorant concerning our gathering back because Paul "spells it out" in real simple terms in this chapter.

They were not much different than the problems confronting Christian's today concerning His return.
You see, the "MANY" whom Christ said in Mat. 24 and Mark 13 "would be deceived" by the words of false teachers in these last days, are continually fed a "vision" of a mentally disturbed woman who claimed her vision was a "revelation" of the spirit.
Today it is called the Rapture "Theory" and lately it has been promoted very heavily among Christians on Radio, TV, in "book after book", and now in full length Motion pictures such as "Left Behind".
I recently saw a very prominent Christian preacher on a nationally televised talk show tell the host of the program that at any time during that interview Jesus Christ could return and snatch him right out of his seat!
Well, I'm sorry!
That was simply A LIE, whether spoken intentionally or not!
Hopefully the man is just sorely deceived in his own Biblical illiteracy.
Either way though, he has perpetuated a big dangerous lie!
How so?
We are going to find out.

With just a little research at your local library you can easily trace the origin of the Rapture Theory back to Glasgow, Scotland, to the year 1830 when a lady named Margaret MacDonald saw a "vision" whereby all of a sudden the Lord descends in the clouds and calls His saints to rise up and meet Him in the air. Start with the book "The Incredible Cover-up", by Dave MacPherson. You can then trace this Rapture Theory's entry into this nation, even identifying the group that brought it here, and chart its infiltration into the majority of our churches today.

Those who support this any-moment Rapture Theory rely heavily on the two verses of 1 Thes. 4:16-17 to support their theory.
However, we have already documented that the events of vs. 16-17 occur at the "last Trump" (the 7th), which is The Day of The Lord and the first day of the Millennium.

Paul continues in verse 3 with an even more direct statement:

2 Thessalonians 2:3
"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
.
Remember, the subject being addressed here, is the return of Jesus Christ and when it is we gather back to Him!
That is certainly easy enough for anyone to understand.
But the really hard part of this verse for people to come to grips with is the "Let no man deceive you by any means" part!
Perhaps your minister or pastor is a really nice man with a lovely family and you know him to be sincere and conscientious and one who would not purposely lead you astray.
And that may all be True but will you consider that perhaps "he has blindly followed after the traditional teachings of the church", which have the appearance of being good, just as you have followed after him?
Think about it!

The point Paul is making is;
"PLEASE, DO NOT let anyone tell you in any way, shape, or form that the day of Christ is at hand, i.e. that Jesus Christ can return at any moment!
They are "in the dark", void of accurate Biblical knowledge, and they will be caught off guard, caught sleeping, when the True Messiah returns.
You see, whether a man is pope, bishop, elder, preacher, teacher, pastor, minister, deacon, usher, author, televangelist, or the paperboy, we have been instructed to CHECK OUT what that man says, in "The Word of God".

Remember Paul said to
"Prove all things; hold fast that which is good"
- (1Thessalonians 5:21).

Well, Paul was not, neither did he believe he was, nor did he attempt to, exempt himself from the "proving and the testing".
It is written in Acts 17 that those rascally Bereans checked him and Silas out real good, every day!

Acts 17:10
"And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews."

[11] "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

Imagine that!
They had the NERVE to check out what the apostle Paul himself taught them.

The question one should then ask is;
"Is there anyone greater than the apostle Paul today that we should exempt from accountability to the Word of God?"
Forget whether they are nice guys or good folks or popular among the people or followed by millions.
Do YOUR "homework" and believe the Scriptures!

If a teacher does not encourage you to study on your own (2 Tim. 2;15) or if that teacher is offended that you document whether his words fully align with the Scriptures, then, find another teacher.
No True servant of God will ever ask you to believe him or her apart from Documentation in the Word of God.

Acts 17:12
"Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few."
.
They SAW for themselves, that "it was so" in the Word of God and for that reason many of them "believed"... not because Paul or Silas said so... but the Word of God said so!
.
So Paul has now specifically told us in verse 3 that TWO THINGS must happen BEFORE we gather back to Jesus Christ.
(I would say that IF THOSE two things HAVE NOT happened yet, then, you are NOT going to be plucked out of your seat, are you?)
.
What are those two things?
There must "first" come 'a falling away' and the "man of sin", who is the son of perdition, must be revealed.
Who is this "man of sin", this "son of perdition"?
.
The word Greek word for "perdition" is a derivative of "apollumi" which means to fully destroy, i.e. die, perish:
apollumi, ap-ol'-loo-mee, Greek 622; from Greek 575 (apo) and the base of Greek 3639 (olethros);
to destroy fully (reflexive to perish, or lose), literal or figurative :- destroy, die, lose, mar, perish.

The active participle of "apollumi" is "Appollyon" which is Satan's name in Revelation 9:11.
.
You see, there has only ever been 'one' son who has been sentenced "to perish" in the lake of fire and that one son is the man of sin himself, Satan, the Devil, the Great Red Dragon, the soon coming Antichrist.
.
Judgment for everyone else, unless you are part of the First Resurrection, has been scheduled for the time following the Millennium known as,
The Great White Throne Judgment.

Isaiah 14:12
"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"

[13] "For thou hast said in thine heart, 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:'"

[14] "I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High".

This same "abominable one" will be cast from heaven to this earth (Rev. 12:7-9) at the sound of the 6th Trump, which comes before our gathering back at the 7th Trump (the last one).

The 6th Trump is when Michael "stands up" (Dan. 12:1) and the "time of trouble" (spiritual trouble) begins, "such as never was since a nation was born nor ever shall be again." (Mat. 24:21)
.
Satan as antichrist, the false messiah, will once again exalt himself above God and he will sit in the temple, just as Paul explained in verse 4, and "claim" that he is God, i.e. the Messiah who has come to rapture you away.
.
Jesus Christ also told us in Mat. 24 and Mark 13 about this "abominable one" who shall come before His return, and when he does,
stay away from him!

Matthew 24:15

Students of the book of Daniel (i.e. those who read it with understanding) know that this is the "desolator", the little horn, the vile person, which are ALL names of Satan.

What did Jesus mean by that?

He often used physical statements like this to teach us 'a spiritual' Truth that He wanted us to understand.

Christ makes several references to one person being taken and another left behind.
The people who promote "The Rapture Theory" use these verses out of context to tell us Christ is going to come and take us Christians up to heaven prior to the tribulation described in Revelations.

They either haven't read the Bible themselves or they're just selling books to Christians who ALSO haven't bothered to read the little Black Book!

Jesus is teaching us a spiritual lesson about what is going to happen prior to his return?

Before we get to Christ's lesson let's establish the fact that Satan as the spurious (counterfeit) messiah, WILL come to earth FIRST. i,e, (ahead of Christ)

Revelation 12:7-9
[7] "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,"
.
[8] "And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven."
.
[9] "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

Satan and his angels are to be cast down to earth five months before Christ returns.

Note: These things described in Revelation are to happen "spiritually", NOT physically.

Satan will be here "claiming to be" Christ returned "BEFORE" Christ returns.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4
[1] "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him,"

[2] "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand."

Paul said Christ will not come before Satan.
You just read it in the Word of God, believe it!

Ok, now that we've established that anti-Christ comes "FIRST" let's take another look at what Jesus said in Matthew 24:37-41.

Christ is telling us that some people are going to be taken and others left.
The question seems to be which are to be taken and which are to be left?
The answer is "...as the days of Noe were, ..."
In Noah's flood all the descendants of eighth day man who had been marrying those angels, who had left their first estate, were the people who were "swept away" by the "flood waters."

"And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day."

[1] "And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,"

[2] "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."

[26] "And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man."

What Christ is Saying is that the people who believe Satan's "flood" OF LIES (especially the one where he claims he is Christ) when he is cast down to earth are going to be "TAKEN" and the people who endure to the end, waiting for The True Jesus to return will be left to receive eternal reward i.e.. the first resurrection to eternal life!

Those who "believe Satan's lies", rapture theories etc. will convince many of their brethren that Satan is Christ, as he claims, costing them their immortal souls, i.e. put to death.

There is NO WAY anyone could possibly know what "THUS SAITH THE LORD", at 2 verses per week, NO WAY! "The delusion" IS STRONG", sadly.

The church NEEDS to learn and understand just HOW skillful he is at deceiving believers through false doctrines, half Truths, and counterfeit spiritual experiences.
If your pastor doesn't teach every Precious Word from the Bible, Chapter by chapter & verse by verse, every line, line upon line, precept upon precept. using the original text (Hebrew & Greek) translations with understanding, you should have a list of questions that should be asked. Go to the Heavenly Father in prayer and ask HIM to show you important things to discuss with the leadership of your church.
If you are a serious follower of Jesus Christ, and want to be sure that you are worshiping in a church whose foundation is the TRUE Word of God, then you will be proactive in this process.
A True born-again (from above) Bible believing pastor will be overjoyed that you are being careful. He will gladly answer all of your questions. Then Verify everything for YOURSELF in God's Word asking prayerfully for Our Heavenly Father to Guide you into all Truth, HIS Truth.
