Job 1:6
"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them."

"The sons of God" as it is used here, are the angels, and we see here that Satan is right there in heaven with them also.
Angels are the souls of people everywhere, so these are God's children that are in heaven with God at this time.
These souls are not in their flesh bodies now, they have either passed on, after the shadow of death (death of their flesh), or their souls that haven't been born yet into this age of the flesh.
All souls must pass through this earth age of the flesh just once, to live their life and have the right and free will to choose for themselves who they will follow, Satan or God.
However in the Hebrew Manuscript text it is very explicit, for it identifies Satan, "the Adversary" by name.
Many teachers today would have you believe that Satan as used here, is not a real person, but "a condition", but that is not so.
Satan "the person" stood before God and was making these statements.
Don't confuse the supernatural man Satan, with the 'many' "antichrists" that are in the world today, for the man Satan will come, when the "many antichrists" have prepared the world for accepting him as their savior.

Job 1:7
"And the LORD said unto Satan, "Whence comest thou?" Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, 'From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.'"

The "earth" is "erets" in the Hebrew, the very planet that we are living on today. Satan had returned to heaven to stand before God, and he returned to heaven from earth.
If you think that it is odd that Satan will walk "to and fro" on the earth in his role as the Antichrist in our generation, that is exactly what he did during this time of Job.
So. here the Heavenly Father is addressing Satan, and all the other countless souls are standing by and watching this discussion take place.
Satan was walking "to and fro" on the earth, to see who he could catch off-guard, and cause them to sin.

Job 1:8
"And the LORD said unto Satan, "Hast thou considered My servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?",
.
When God spoke to Satan, He asked Satan, "Have you seen My man Job while you were down there on earth? What do you think of My man Job?"
If God placed this same request to Satan about you, what do you think God would have to say about you?
My fellow Christian, Satan is still standing before the Throne of God as "the accuser", and every time you sin and fall short, Satan is there to call attention of your deeds before God.
Satan won't let any of your sins pass unnoticed by God.
However, today we have the Blood of Christ to cover those sins, and Jesus is also there at the right hand of the Father as our Advocate, or attorney at the Throne of God.
Satan is looking for the time you slip-up and sin, and then he will come against you with all kinds of charges. We all have weak moments for we are all sinners in these flesh bodies. As long as we are in the flesh body, we will be weak and we fall short of God's standards from time to time.

Job 1:9
"Then Satan answered the LORD and said, 'Doth Job fear God for nought?'"

Satan is asking God, "Does Job fear God for nothing?" Sure, Satan saw Job but remember all that Job had?
.
Job 1:10
"Hast not Thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land."
.
God blessed Job and his family beyond all other men of the day.
.
Job 1:11
"But put forth Thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse Thee to Thy face."
.
Job 1:12
"And the LORD said unto Satan, "Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand." So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD."
.
Do you see how Satan works?
Satan works deceitfully, and in such a way to catch you off-guard; Satan always tries to find one little point to find leverage to use against you. Satan will test your weakness, when you are at your weakest point.
Satan told God that "if You take all this power and wealth that Job has from him, he will curse You to Your Face."
This is the same thing that Satan is using against God's elect in this final generation.
The elect were chosen in "the world that was", before this age of the flesh. They were chosen then because they were found to be True, tried and well-tested for this earth age. They were Judged and predestined then, to do a task for the LORD God in this earth age, from that first earth age. They were appointed "before the foundations" of this earth age, were even laid.
So we see that Satan knows who you are, from that first earth age, and he also knows if you are one of God's elect.
You can count on Satan looking you up upon his arrival to this earth, and using those supernatural powers that God gave to him to try you, and test you in a manner that you had not counted on.
It may be through a habit, such as gossip, smoking, or drinking or even through a family member that you don't get along with very well. But rest assured, Satan will see if you are the man or woman that God considers you to be, as one of His elect.
Remember that this Book of Job is a "type" for what God's Elect will face when Satan arrives here on earth.
God gave Satan the right to do with Job as he would, however there was only one condition placed on Satan;
"...only upon himself put not forth thine hand."
God Protected Job the same way that the Holy Spirit is Protecting us today. We have access to the Power of God, but it is up to each of us to understand that Power that we have, and "claim it" to ourselves.
Remember that Satan is the prince of this earth today, and he can take anything that you have on this earth, if you let him.
This is why WE MUST ORDER Satan OUT of our lives and that of our family, "in the Name of Jesus Christ".

Job 1:13
"And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:"
.
Many believe that this was Job's seventieth birthday, and God is allowing Satan to destroy and take away many things out of Job's life.
.
Job 1:14
"And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, "The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:"
Job 1:15
"And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee."

This should remind us of Ezekiel 33, whereby there was one watchman on the wall, and when the city of Jerusalem was smitten, there was one that escaped to come and report that the city was smitten.

In Revelation 11:13 we read that there were seven thousand Nephilim, or men of the fallen angels, that shall fall also on that Great Day of the Lord. Those fallen angels come to earth with Satan to start the day of deception, and for..

Revelation 12:7
"And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,"
.
Revelation 12:8
"And prevailed not, neither was there place found any more in heaven."
.
Revelation 12:9
"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

What happened in Job's day is a "type"(an example) of what shall happen in the latter days.

Job 1:16
"While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, 'The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.'"
.
When God gives Satan the latitude to do something, He put limits to Satan's destruction, you can count on Satan doing all that God will allow him to do.
What happened to the seven thousand sheep?
"The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants..."
.
God is a Consuming Fire, and the star that is going to fall from heaven, with the locust army of fallen angels from the bottomless pit, is Satan when he comes to "deceive the whole earth."
Revelation 9 tells us of that time at (the first woe) of the fifth trumpet, when God gives Satan (the star that falls) the key of the bottomless pit; the right and authority to do, all that Satan will do. all those supernatural acts in those five months before Christ's return at the seventh (final) trump.

Job 1:17
"While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, 'The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.'"

In one day, Job's wealth was wiped out, and he was left with nothing.
Stop and think for a moment, one change in the markets, one fire, one lawsuit, or the fall of the company you work for; overnight all those things you rely on can end unexpectedly, and change your entire life.
This is what happened to Job.
Then, in Job 1:18, Satan took Job’s children.

Job 1:18
"While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, 'Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's:'"
.
Even Job's children were killed by the great hurricane or tornado that passed through the house where they were eating and drinking and having their great celebration.

Job 1:19
"And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee."
.
Job has now lost the most prized possession, that of his own family, his children.
.
Job 1:20
"Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,"
.
After Job had lost it all, he turned his attention to God, and fell down and worshipped God.
Job was an upright man, and even today we have the Holy Spirit of God to fall back on when the things get a little tough in our lives.
If you had lost all your wealth and your entire family in one day, think about what your next action would be;
Would it be to worship God, and thank Him for your life?

Job 1:21
"And said, 'Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.'"
Job 1:22
"In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly."
.
This is Job's reaction and prayer to God.
What would your prayer be when the time of testing comes into your life.
Still all that Job could do is to give God the praise for the breath of life that he had.
Then in Job 2:7, Satan took Job’s health.
.
Job 2:1
"And again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD."
.
Remember, "the sons of God" are the angels, and this meeting was a usual meeting with God and the angels in Heaven. Satan would be present for all these meetings. We can see by this, that there is a day of accounting in the heavens, even today. When ever God has a time of Judgment, Satan will be there accusing those that would stand on God's side.
God is keeping a great Book as to what is taking place on the earth, as well as The Book of Life.

Job 2:2
"And the LORD said unto Satan, "From whence comest thou?" And Satan answered the LORD, and said, "From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it."
.
Satan was continually walking throughout the entire earth, seeking those that he can trip-up, and cause them to sin.
Satan is trying to catch you even today, in your weakest moment, and there is a time coming when Michael and his angels will kick Satan and his fallen angels out of heaven, and he will be right here, on earth, trying to take the role of Jesus Christ, and have the world worship him, which they will do. Satan will be visible to each of us, appearing as a man (Jesus), Satan has "supernatural powers", and he will test all the saints, you included.

Job 2:3
"And the LORD said unto Satan, "Hast thou considered My servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst Me against him, to destroy him without cause."
.
This is the same thing that God said to Satan on that first meeting, then Satan went after Job and destroyed all his children, his personal wealth, as well as his dignity and worldly position.
With all this gone, Job still held fast to his integrity.
Job was a perfect man, and all these things came upon Job because Satan moved God to allow him the right of the testing of Job, to prove the perfection that Job had. Do you think Satan is a quitter? The first challenge was to remove the worldly wealth from Job, and to see if Job would curse God.
Well Satan did that, removed all the worldly possessions of Job, and Job WOULD NOT curse God, but blessed God and His Holy Name.

Job 2:4
"And Satan answered the LORD, and said, "Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life."
.
Satan is now saying that if Job's life was threatened, he would curse God to save his own skin. To what point in a man's life would he curse God to save his life in the flesh?
Is there a limit that we can reach to where life is more important than our position before the Father in heaven?
.
Job 2:5
"But put forth Thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse Thee to Thy face."
.
God let Satan destroy Job's property, but He would not let Satan touch Job's flesh.
Now Satan wants God to allow him to give Job all sorts of sickness and physical problems.
When Satan gets done with Job, Satan is telling God that he will have Job cursing God.
.
Job 2:6
"And the LORD said unto Satan, "Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.""
.
God is telling Satan, you can take Job's health, but save Job's life. Satan now has a free hand to do with Job's health as he would.
So lets see how Job will stand up when the heavy 'fiery darts' of Satan fall on Job.
Will Job continue to stand on God's side, or will he crack and curse God?
Think of it for a moment, when all the problems of these days fall upon your shoulders, and sickness brings you to the point of death, would you have it as bad as Job?
When things are really bad, have you ever thought of putting the blame on God, or do you continue to praise and bless God's name for giving you life?
Have you ever thought of cursing the One that hung on the cross, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for the burdens that you have had in carrying His name to others?
The words that were said of you, or the belittling of your name for telling others of the Love of Christ, have you ever become embarrassed over the matter?
Do you have pain "in comparison" to what Job went through?
You see, we have it easy and we only think that times are hard. We MUST BECOME mentally prepared, for the type of perfection that will allow you to stand when the things "heat up" at Satan's arrival here on earth.
Those times are coming, and you can count on it!

Job 2:7
"So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown."
.
Job was smitten with sore boils from the soles of his feet to the top of his head by Satan.
God allowed Job to be tested, but Satan brought on the sickness.
.
Job 2:8
"And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes."
.
Job was smitten so bad with these sore boils that he didn't even have fingernails left to scrape the puss from his running boils, but he took a piece of a broken pot to scrape himself with.
What did Job do to deserve these boils to be brought upon himself?
The Word of God just told us that;
Satan brought them upon Job, to prove Job would fall and curse God.
Satan did it to Job, but what do you allow Satan do to you?
Unlike Job, "WE have the Power" to ORDER Satan away from us, (and back to the abyss!) but we must take that power, and use it!
If you believe in Jesus Christ and by your repenting in the name of Jesus, He gave you the power over ALL evil spirits as well as Satan. (Luke 10:19)
Are you a believer?
or, are you just playing church?
With the mouth many say and claim to be Christian, but "with their heart and mind" they are not willing to put it all on the line and follow Christ, in the manner that poor old Job had to.
If Satan challenges you, God may have allowed Satan to do what he will do to you, because God Loves you. God knows you can stand any test that Satan will throw your way, for you CAN take it.
So when those things come your way that are not pleasant, smile and bless God for them.
Job refused to curse God.

Job 2:9
"Then said his wife unto him, 'Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.'"
.
This applies not only to the wife, but to any close relation that is with you during your time of trouble, who may try to stir you, against the Lord. Many times after great sickness or an accident happens to a person, the first ones to blame God are your close relatives. They point the finger at you and your right standing before God.
They say;
"he (she) must have done something wrong?"
When Job should have had the support of his wife, she turned on him and tried to get Job to curse God and die!
This is quite common today when someone has had a serious problem and lives in a state of great pain and stress, they say,
"he is better off dead and out of his pain."
Satan is using Job's wife to get Job to do what he could not get Job to do, "curse God and die."
.
If this happened in your life, will it bother you?
When things seem at a complete loss, are you going to give up and wish yourself dead?
When your friends and loved ones turn against you, can you recognize Satan through their actions and deeds?
If you can still love them when Satan has a hold of their minds, that, is what True love is.
That's what being one of God's elect is and does, for God's elect are untouchable by Satan, even when the going gets so tough that it seems insurmountable, because of their love for our Heavenly Father.

Job 2:10
"But he said unto her, 'Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil.' In all this did not Job sin with his lips."
.
Even when Job's wife was trying to press him to curse God and get over his pain and suffering, Job did not sin nor curse God with his lips. Though the pain was great, not once did he blame God and say one thing against God.
.
You can read the rest of Job on your own, but it goes on for 42 chapters and in those 42 chapters Job still refused to curse the LORD.
God allowed Satan to test Job physically, as a example to show us how He is going to allow Satan to test us spiritually, prior to Christ’s return, to see if we have learned
HOW TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WHAT IS HOLY (JESUS) AND WHAT IS PROFANE (SATAN)
Do you know how?
Do you have the Seal of God firmly planted in your mind?

Which brings us to the point of the picture that accompanies this message.

Are you ready to learn some fascinating things from God's Word through old lovable Peter?
.
Peter knew the Scriptures well and often draws from the Divine dealings recorded in the Old Testament.
.
Remember how he stood up on Pentecost Day and quoted the prophet Joel?
.
So we are going to lay some foundation in this study, going all the way back to the beginning of time, to bring us up to speed with some of the basics which Peter will talk about later on.
Let's begin.

1 Peter 1:1
"Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,"
.
Peter was an "apostle" which in Greek is apostolos and it means one who is "sent forth", i.e. an ambassador.
And not only was Peter sent forth to the early church, but even to this day he has been sent forth unto us, to bring forth the teachings of the One with whom he walked side by side, and received His personal instructions.
.
It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that we notice TO WHOM this letter is written, because it is addressed to the "strangers" who are 'scattered' or dispersed, even the Lost Tribes of the House of Israel.
.
James in his book would also address the "scattered" tribes:
.
James 1:1
"James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting."
.
Also, the word "strangers" is an interesting and appropriate word used here because if you will take the time to look it up in Strong's Concordance you will discover that it means "pilgrims" and is translated as such in the next chapter in verse 11.
"Pilgrims" makes one think of the sojourners to America and rightfully so, for they continued the migration to the west of the House of Israel to receive the Promises made to their father Abraham to inherit the most resourceful and blessed piece of real estate on earth, which lies from sea to shining sea!

That's right, the Lost Tribes of the House of Israel are not really lost at all!
It's just that you have to be familiar with the Word of God to know "who" they are, and "where" they are, instead of listening to the traditions of men, who would have everyone who is not called a Jew believing they are gentiles.
What a bunch of malarkey.
We don't have a very clear definition of the word "gentile".
Are only people who are not of Israelite stock, gentiles?
Or, After the dispersion does the word gentile also include Israelites (the house of Israel and/or the house of Judah) living in other places outside Judea?

apparently from the same root as 1465 (in the sense of massing);
a foreign nation; hence, a Gentile; also (figuratively) a troop of animals, or a flight of locusts:--Gentile, heathen, nation, people.

a race (as of the same habit), that is, a tribe; specifically a foreign (non-Jewish) one (usually by implication pagan): - Gentile, heathen, nation, people.

Peter now continues to identify more specifically to whom he is writing.

1 Peter 1:2
"Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied."

Who are these "elect" according to the foreknowledge of God the Father?
The word eklektos (elect) comes from eklegomai (chosen), and what Peter is saying is that there was a time, long ago, when our Father "chose" those who deserved to be chosen to be used by Him whenever and however He so chooses!
.
Now it is up to you to choose whether or not to believe and understand it.
.
It is unfortunate that traditional Christianity does not teach about the earth age that existed when Satan rebelled and drew a third of God's children away from our Father (Rev. 12:4).
.
Oh, they recognize that it happened but seem unable to connect it with the fact that there was once a cataclysmic event that destroyed every structure and every living thing on this planet and the entire global surface was covered with water.

You can read about that destruction in Jeremiah chapter 4.

This is the LORD speaking:

Jeremiah 4:22
"For My people is foolish, they have not known Me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge."

Look up the word "sottish". It means "stupid".
It is the word our Father chose to use.

Jeremiah 4:23
"I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light."
.
Yep, this is what it looked like in Genesis 1:2 when He was finished wiping everything out!
.
One needs to know and understand the use of the Hebrew words "tohu va bohu", means "without form and void".
.
And please note the fact that there was no light, which is why He would first say in Gen. 1:3 "Let there be light".
.
There was light during the flood of Noah, so let's not be ignorant (or sottish) and try to say this was Noah's flood.
.
Jeremiah 4:24
"I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly."
.
It was a shaking indeed!
.
[25] "I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled."

There were men alive during Noah's flood, weren't there?
.
But, there was NO MAN here.
.
No birds like a raven or dove either!
.
[26] "I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by His fierce anger."

Was there ever a Lost City of Atlantis?

You bet there was and the North and South Poles were plush with green vegetation, too.
All of it was destroyed, broken down, BY GOD HIMSELF!

Hello, wake up!

Again, the earth wasn't destroyed when He created it!
.
He created it beautiful and to be inhabited in Genesis 1:1.
.
God Himself even says that He didn't create it in the condition of Gen. 1:2. Isaiah records His words for us:

Isaiah 45:18
"For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God Himself that formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: "I am the LORD; and there is none else.""

God didn't create the earth VOID and in a state of total destruction, which is what the words "without form and void", tohu va bohu in Hebrew, mean.
.
But it "became" (see NIV translation) that way in Genesis 1:2 when our Father knocked this planet off its True axis, which is why magnetic north and True north are 80 to 90 miles apart depending on the wobble, and slightly out of it's true 360 day orbit around the sun.

Have you ever read the Book of Job?

If so, do you remember after the 37 chapters of 'traditional' church teaching, by Job's buddies (which God said was bunk), that He gave Job a little lesson in humility and perspective?

God described to Job the creation in Genesis 1:1, not Genesis 1:3, and guess what?

ALL the sons of God, that would include Job, and you and me, and all those who have died in the flesh and have returned back home (Eccles. 12:7), and those who haven't made the trip here yet, i.e. are waiting to be born in the flesh,
SANG FOR JOY
at the beautiful Handiwork of God.

They wouldn't have sang for joy at the condition in which it is described in Genesis 1:2.
They would have said "Yecch!"
.
Here's the account where God is speaking to Job:
.
Job 38:4-7
[4] "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding."
.
If you have understanding then you know where Job was.
He was amongst those singing for Joy!
.
[5] "Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?"
.
[6] "Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;"
.
How does this planet hang in space anyway?
Job couldn't answer that question and neither can NASA!
.
[7] "When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?"
.
Yep, all of them sang for joy, including Satan, because this was before "iniquity" was found in him and he drew a third of God's sons away from Him.
Your documentation is in Ezekiel 28:15 concerning Satan: "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."

But after his rebellion, Satan was Judged in that world "that then was",
a phrase Peter will use in chapter 3 of his 2nd book, and sentenced to DIE!
That is why Satan is called "Death" and is referred to as the "son of perdition", the son who will perish.
Of course God wasn't too happy with the rest of His kids who sided along with Satan, but rather than Judging them and perhaps sentencing them to die, He postponed Judgment until after the Millennium, after His Plan to redeem them, the Plan of Salvation (which means to salvage), has been accomplished.
So He destroyed the earth "age" that was, the age to which all "Fossils and Remains" belong, and gave us THIS "flesh age" to be born of woman, innocent, without ANY prior knowledge of the "world that then was", with an opportunity to decide whether to love God or follow Satan.
Now you know what happened to the dinosaurs, don't you!
God destroyed them all following Satan's rebellion!
The apostle Paul knew all of this, just like Peter did.
They both speak of the time, before "the foundation of this earth age" so matter of factly that it makes you wonder why everyone doesn't talk or teach about it.
Here's Paul talking about the same "elect" or "chosen":

"According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:"

Were God's elect chosen at birth?
No!

They were chosen "before the foundation of the world", a long time before they would be born in the flesh.

[5] "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,"

and you will see documented that it really means; "before the casting down", or overthrow, i.e. the time of the destruction following Satan's rebellion.
So we see that God predestinated His elect to be used "according to the good pleasure of His will", i.e. however He so chooses.
Our Father knew us all, "long before" we were born of woman to temporarily dwell in a flesh tabernacle, which we call our body.

He knew Jeremiah before he was born:
Jeremiah 1:5
"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."

He knew Jacob and Esau before they were born.
That is how He could say in Romans 9:13;
"Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated"
Even before they were yet born.

Yes, He knew us all long before we were born.
But guess what?
We've left out the best part!

We know that Satan drew 1/3 of God's sons away from Him, but there were some who stood and fought against the dragon [Satan] and made our Father proud of them.
They exercised their "free will" then, (in the first earth age) and chose to love God and not Satan, and so God has chosen them, and predestined them, to be a part of His Plan in THIS earth age.

He has used them all down through history until even now.
And you know what else?
He chose the last ones, the elect who would be present during the final generation, first!
Now you know the more "in-depth" meaning to Christ's Words that "the first shall be last; and the last first".
So, no altar call is necessary for God's elect, His chosen, because when He's ready to use them He'll let them know.
He might knock them off their horses (Paul) or have them swallowed by a big fish (Jonah) or just call them away from fishing (Peter, Andrew, James, and John) if they are the type who haven't let their "free will" run riot, like some, He has to rescue them from themselves first.

So it is God's elect to whom Peter addressed this marvelous epistle.

This chapter is to help us understand who the Kenites are, and identifying them is the important part in understanding the Key of David.
The book of Revelation chapters two and three discussed Seven Churches that existed in the end times. Of these seven churches, Only two (of the 7 churches) had the Key of David, they knew, and could identify "the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan".
Those two churches were the churches of Smyrna and Philadelphia. They knew who the Kenites were/are, and God blessed them for their understanding.
Before we look at the results of Eve's sin, we must understand what happened in the Garden of Eden, to cause this sin to come about.

Genesis 3:1-3
"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, 'Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?'"

[2] "And the woman said unto the serpent, 'We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:"

[3] "But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.'"

The serpent and the trees represent men, and the reference to beast also includes men, in fact God called Himself the Evergreen tree, or fir tree in Hosea 14:8;
"Ephraim shall say, 'What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard Him, and observed Him:' 'I am like a green fir tree. From Me is thy fruit found.'"

Satan has many titles as we read in Revelation 20:2;
"And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,"

So Satan is the person called "the serpent" here in Genesis 3 because he was more subtle than any other form of God's created beings, he was created in the perfect pattern, full of beauty, wisdom, and understanding, as we shall cover in our study later.
When Satan asked the question to Eve,
"Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the Garden?"
He was not asking the question for the sake of inquiring, but to draw her attention to the matter, like the questions asked by a slick car salesman. The purpose of the question is to break down the resistance of the client so they will "buy" the goods.
The key to overcoming the mental barrier of a person is by telling a series of half-truths so they will accept what you say, where by twisting their mind so that they will go along with what they are trying to sell to them.
Satan's quotation of God,
"Ye shall not eat of every tree of the Garden?"
is stated in the form of a lie from what God actually stated in Genesis 2:16,17. The exception to "every tree" was,
"...but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat."
Genesis 2:16
"And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:"

17] "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.""

This was Satan's first utterance in Scripture, and it shows from the very start, his opposition to God's Word. God's Word from the first earth age sentenced Satan to death, and that's why he is the only one called "the son of perdition".
Satan took God's Word "Thou shalt surely die", and in the confusion of twisting the Word of God, Satan states "ye shall NOT surely die".

By the way, are we talking about apple trees here, and apples as the fruit of Eve's sin?
NO we are talking about the man Satan, and the woman Eve. The fruit that comes from the union of man and women are not apples, but children.
Paul referred to this seduction of Eve in II Corinthians 11:3;
"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."
In other words stay within the Word of God.
The word "beguiled" in the Greek is # 1818; exapatao, from #1537 and #538;
"to seduce wholly, to beguile"
and of course this is in reference to sexual union. The point Paul is making to Christians is, DON'T lose your virginity as Eve did, by being wholly seduced by the serpent [Satan].
Genesis 3:6
"And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat"
Are we talking about apple trees and apples here?
Don't be silly!
This is talking about a man deceiving a woman into sexual relations, and her husband taking part with her also.
The seed from any sexual union bears children, not apples.
Once you get over this traditional fairy tale, of apples, then you can start to understand who the Kenites are, where they came from, and what their purpose in the Scriptures will be.
In this same chapter we see the first prophecy concerning the coming of the Messiah and His Sacrificial Offering was made by His death on the cross.

By her sexual act with Satan and then with Adam, Eve conceived two seeds and produced twins; Cain’s father was Satan, and Abel’s father was Adam. This, was the sin in the Garden of Eden.

Look up the word. "Kenite", # 7014; Qayin, kah'-yin; The same as H7013 (with a play upon the affinity to H7069); Kajin, the name of the first child, also of a place in Palestine, and of an Oriental tribe: - Cain, Kenite (-s).
Lets go to #7017; "Kenite" (I Chronicles 2:55), qêynı̂y Kee-nee'; Patronymic from H7014; a Kenite or member of the tribe of Kajin: - Kenite.

The name, "Kenite" is from the family "of the first child, an oriental", and we know from Genesis 4:1 that this first child was Cain.
"And Adam knew Eve his wife: and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, 'I have gotten a man from the LORD'."

Eve was in a period of innocence here; and in the Hebrew text it states; "ish eth YHVH".
This literal version translates;
"With the help of YHVH"...

Genesis 4:2
"And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground."

It's strange that Cain would draw the duties which Adam was created for.
The word "again" as stated here, in the Hebrew text was "Yasaph", #3254 in the Strong's Hebrew Dictionary. Yasaph; A primitive root; to add or augment (often adverbially to continue to do a thing): - add, X again, X any more, X cease, X come more, + conceive again, continue,
"to continue, conceive again, to continue to do the same thing."
So, if Eve had just bare Cain, and she continued again, to do the same thing, she had another child. She had twins.
These two children are not identical twins that Eve conceived, because they had two different fathers; as we see from Genesis 3:15. Identical twins are born from the same bag of water in the mother, but these are paternal twins, born in separate bags of water, with two different fathers.

( NOTE; This is called "Superfecundation" look it up in any Medical Journal, it still happens today;
specifically "heteropaternal superfecundation", is the rare phenomenon where fraternal twins have different biological fathers, occurring when a woman releases two eggs in one cycle (hyperovulation) and has sex with different men within the fertile window, leading to each egg being fertilized by a different sperm. This results in half-siblings sharing the same mother but different fathers, and while rare (estimated around 1 in 400 twin pairs), it's often discovered through paternity tests,)

These twins were conceived with two separate conceptions, and there is no great mystery about these conceptions. So we see then that Eve continued in labor, and had her twins. Cain's father was the man Satan, and Abel's father was Adam.
These two boys grew up and when they reached the time for their first offering to God, Cain brought the fruits of his ground, and Abel brought the "first fruits" of his flock.
God accepted Abel's offering, but God refused Cain's offering.

Genesis 4:3
"And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD."

Genesis 4:4
"And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:"

Genesis 4:5
"But unto Cain and to his offering He had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell."

Genesis 4:6
"And the LORD said unto Cain, "Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?""

Genesis 4:7
"If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him."

What this is saying from the Hebrew text is;
"If you were honest, I would accept your offering."
So where did Cain get his anger, sin and dishonesty? It came from "his father" Satan.

Genesis 4:8-9
"And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him."

[9] "And the LORD said unto Cain, "Where is Abel thy brother?" And he said, 'I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?'"

Cain knew exactly what happened to Abel, because he slew him. Cain lied to God, which is another trait he received from his father Satan. The LORD knew what happened to Abel.
Jesus even talked about what happened to Abel when He was confronted by the "Kenite" scribes and Pharisees of His day.

John 8:44
"Ye are of your father the Devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

"Ye" [to the Kenite scribes and Pharisees], are from your father the Devil. Satan is the devil, and was playing the role of the serpent when he deceived Eve and she became pregnant.
Who was "a murderer from the beginning"?
We just read that Cain was the first murderer when he killed Abel.
Jesus called these Kenites exactly what they were.
We know that Jesus was speaking of Cain we just read about in Genesis 4:8-9. Where did Cain get all this corruptness? It began with Cain's father Satan, Jesus knew it. and spoke about it,
"When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own, for he [Satan] is a liar, and the father of it [lies]".
The simplicity of Jesus Christ's Teaching and His Word is foolishness to many religious leaders today.
As we see in Matthew 13:13, it is not intended for their ears, and they are totally 'blind' to God's Word. Jesus said;
"because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand."

Matthew 13:14-15
"And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:"

[15] "For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed: lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."

These Kenites are the people that God does not intend to offer His Salvation to in this earth age. IF they do 'hear' and confess though, God will save them.
Though it sounds like a contradiction; it is not.
In the churches today the Kenites have entered (and control) and have so distorted the Word of God with fairy tales and false teachings that God's people don't even know, that they have to be on guard, against these Kenites. Confusion in the church is at an all time high, as many church leaders actually believe that God respects sodomites.
The religious world is being turned upside down. Godless deception is everywhere, and most Christians are blind and can't see through all the lies. Many, in innocence, even take the life of their unborn, and think that the little souls within them is just "a mass of matter".
They listened to Satan's lies, and they believe it, just as Eve did.
However you must understand that everything that is happening is in the Plan of God, and God is using these Kenites, sons of Satan through Cain to test His children.
Most Christians will be deceived when Satan arrives on earth for the great tribulation; they will not expect that the war of the end times to be a war of "peace" and words of great deception.
The battle in our lifetime is when Satan arrives here on earth is fought with words, false peace and with his twisted ideas, lies and half truths, he will be filled with supernatural powers and the ability to out-think human beings.

Jesus faced these Kenites again in Matthew 23 when he told them of the "Eight Woes". .
The woes are the exact opposite of the eight blessings (Beatitudes) that Jesus gave in the "Sermon on the Mount" in Matthew 5.
At the end of giving the Eight Woes, Jesus called these scribes and Pharisees;
"Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?" (Matthew 23:33)

The first prophesy concerning the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ was given back in Genesis 3:15. Let’s review it.
.
Genesis 3:15
"And I [GOD] will put enmity between thee [Satan] and the woman [Eve], and between thy seed [the Kenites] and her Seed [Jesus]; It [Jesus] shall bruise thy [Satan's] head, and thou [Satan] shalt bruise His [Christ's] heel."
.
Eve's Seed is Jesus Christ, Luke 3:23-38 and Matthew 1:1-16 will trace Jesus' lineage all the way back to Adam, 'through Seth' NOT Cain.
Cain is NOT listed in Adam's genealogy (go back and check for yourself, in Genesis 5). Cain has a "separate" genealogy listing in Genesis 4.
Satan's seed are his children to the last generation, and they are called "Kenites", sons of Cain. Satan's offspring are born from the sexual union between Eve and Satan [the serpent and the tree of good and evil from Genesis 3].
So (in Gen 3:15), God is telling us that He will put trouble between Eve's children through Seth, and Satan's offspring through Cain. called the Kenites.
It's Jesus that "shall bruise the head" of Satan, at Christ's return at the Second Advent, while it was Satan's children [the Kenites], not Judah , that bruised Jesus' heel at the cross of Calvary during His crucifixion. Spikes were driven through Jesus' heel, as He hung on the cross to pay the full price for our sins, once and for all.
Most religious leaders acknowledge that Genesis 3:15 is talking about the death of Jesus Christ, and when He was nailed to the cross for our sins. They recognize that THAT "seed", is referring to the children of the woman "Eve". Yet they want to 'spiritualize away' everything else that happened in the Garden of Eden between Eve and the two men, Adam, and Satan.
The "seed" in the Hebrew text is called "zeh'-rah", and in the Greek it is "sperma". In our English we call this zeh-rah, "sperm", for in Strong's Hebrew dictionary #2233, "Posterity, carnally, child, fruitful".
It can't be any clearer; the seed of Satan's posterity are the Kenites, while Adam's posterity is in Christ, through the "pure bloodline of Seth", Adam's second son.
As Jesus went around the countryside teaching, He gave His lessons in Parables. Understanding who these Kenites are, how and where they came from is ESSENTIAL in understanding the Parables of Christ.
Jesus even gave us the key to understand His parables in Matthew 13:10-12.
Matthew 13:10
"And the disciples came, and said unto Him, 'Why speakest Thou into them in parables?'"

Jesus disciples turned to Jesus and "asked" HIM, "Why are you speaking in parables", in riddles that these people cannot understand.

Matthew 13:11
"He answered and said unto them, "Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given."

A mystery is something that is unknown.
The answer may be in plain sight, yet if you cannot put all the details together, by taking all the clues and come to an understanding of the facts, you still wont know the answer to the mystery. There are things dealing with the Kingdom of Heaven that seem foolish to most mankind, and will always remain hidden, unless the Spirit of the Living God reveals them.
We see today many things are mysteries, and mankind is going to great lengths to understand the past, when all the time it is written right there, in His Word.
However those Truths simply will not be understood by all because God has blinded their eyes for their own protection. If a person understood, and was tried and tested by Satan in his role as the Antichrist and his system, which is coming shortly, they would not have the ability to stand against Satan. It may be because of the lack of willpower or faith, but the elect will be required to completely turn themselves over to the Holy Spirit for their Protection.

Matthew 13:12
"For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath."

The subject here is revealing God’s Truth to others. If a Truth is given to us, we can sow it and plant that Truth in someone’s mind, or just sit on it. Jesus is telling us if His Spirit opens a Truth to us and we sit on it, we will not only lose the understanding of that Truth, but other Truths from His Word also.

Matthew 13:13-15
"Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand."
.
[14] "And in them is this fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, 'By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:'"
.
[15] "For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.""

Jesus Christ gave many parables to the multitudes because the Kenites followed after Christ to try to trip Him up. Yet all the time they missed the entire teaching. He spoke of them continually as "the tares", and they just never understood that Jesus was talking about them. He told how the farmer sowed the wheat in his field, and after the seed was in the ground, along came the enemy and sowed the tares in the same field.
So, who are these enemies that are out to destroy Truth, cause confusion, and destroy the children of God? These are the Kenites.

Matthew 13:24-25
"Another parable put He forth unto them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field;"

[25] "But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way."

The word "tares" in the Greek is "zizania", and not "darnel". It is a plant in Palestine known today as the zewan. When zewan is growing it looks like wheat, but when it is fully grown the ears are long and the grains inside are almost black.
To make the wheat grain fit for grinding, each grain of zewan must be removed, or the bread is bitter and poisonous."
When parables were given, those who listened will remember the story, but fail to understand it’s hidden meaning. The Man that owned the field sowed the 'good seed', and when He was resting, his enemy came to sow bad seed to destroy his crop. Remember from Genesis 3:15, the word given in the text for "seed" was sperm, we’re not talking about grain in this parable this refers to children. The understanding of this parable is hidden to those who were listening.
When the servants want to go and gather the tares before the wheat is ripe, the owner tells them not to.
The reason is that you might destroy some good wheat when you pull up the tares.
That separation will be done later by those angels that harvest the crop. So many, like the Disciples of Christ, want to understand the lesson that Jesus was giving here.
Matthew 13:34-35
"All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake He not unto them:"

[35] "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, 'I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.'"
.
Jesus did exactly as the prophets of old said that He would do, and this is how those secrets from the start of this earth age of flesh man were kept. Satan used his sons, the Kenites who continually tried to overthrow the Plan of God, and it is impossible for them to succeed. They will mess up millions of Christian's lives and lead them to the Antichrist Satan, but, to the elect that have these Truths sealed in their minds [foreheads], they will not be deceived.
Ephesians 1:4 tells us that the elect earned that right "before the foundation" of this earth age. They made their stand in that first earth age, and for their stand, they were Judged at that time and found to be without blame, and will be here in this earth age to make that stand, again.

Matthew 13:36
"Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and His disciples came unto Him, saying, 'Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.'"

Jesus is not teaching the crowd here, but in 'the house' He is talking only to His disciples, because they want to know, exactly what the "Parable of the Tares" is all about. Jesus is going to explain it in detail, yet even today it flies over the head of most Christians.

Matthew 37-38
"He answered and said unto them, "He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;"
.
[38] "The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;""
.
This "good man" had a good seed and He went out and sowed that seed in a good field, well-prepared.
The "Son of man" within this Greek expression is, "God in the flesh"; for the Son of God, Jesus Christ sowed the good seed. Remember that in the parable, seed was a grain of wheat, which represented a different seed, called "sperma", or the seed of man; a child.
The "good seed" is simply 'symbolic' terminology for His children, which should not be a complicated thing to understand at all.
He formed Adam and Eve and placed them in the garden!
It is that simple, and any attempt to "spiritualize" it into something other than what Christ just said is to change His explanation.
" .... but the tares are the children of the wicked one;"
The "field" that Jesus is talking about is the "entire world", this earth age of flesh man.
The "good seed" are the children of God's Kingdom. It did not say that these were apple seeds, or any other fruit of trees; they were children of the Kingdom.
Many people get all messed up and can't tell the difference between apple seeds and children.
The good seed are "the children of Seth", and the "bad seed are the children of Satan through Cain", called Kenites.
Now, Jesus tells us exactly who the enemy is:

Matthew 13:39
"The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels."
.
It can't be that hard to understand, for everyone knows that Satan is the devil, and his children through Cain are called the Kenites.
Jesus just told you that Satan is the enemy,
"the wicked one"
We are not to gather those Kenites, for many of them will come to know the Truth, repent and come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. That’s why the separation had to happen after the field, was ripe, unto harvest.
Jesus told us that if they repent, as you have, they will be saved and have Salvation just as it is offered to you. Yet the Kenites are the negative part of God's Plan, and they will prepare the way for their father Satan, when he is cast out onto the earth (Revelation 12:7-9).

Matthew 13:40-41
"As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world."

[41] "The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;"

The True gathering of the Kenites will be after the Millennium age, when each soul will be tested again, after they know the Truth. God the Father can read their minds and knows the intent of their soul, and only He is able to Judge the righteous and the wicked. That is the duty of the Creator, not the created creature. No one will slip into the Kingdom of God accidental, for the intent of their thoughts and minds are completely known by God.
These Kenites received their first lasting infiltration into the tribes of Israel during the time of King Solomon. King Solomon received his instruction to build the temple, and information for the skilled labors, the metals workmen and wood workers that were necessary to complete the job. Solomon used thousands of Kenite men from the land of Hemath. Most of these Kenite men and their families stayed and lived amongst the Israelites after the completion of the Temple and the king's houses. Solomon himself went into business with the king of Hemath, and within three generation the kings of Judah , Israel and Hamath [Tyre] their children intermarried with one another.
King Omri of Israel and king Ethbaal of Hamath had their peace sealed with the marriage of Ahab and Jezebel, and through the son and daughter of Jezebel, Judah was brought under ties to the Kenites also to Jehosaphat's two children.
By naming each of their children by the "same names", confusion exists by many. They were not able to separate the Kenite lineage from those of Abraham.
By the time the House of Judah came out of Babylon after the captivity, the Kenites had completely taken over the priesthood.
Of the more than 280 priests returning to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple and the city, NOT 'one' Levite priest was amongst them.

Ezra 8:15
"And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there NONE of the sons of Levi."

Ezra was leading this wagon-train of over 43,000 people broken into twelve groups, and heading back to Jerusalem at king Cyrus' orders. The purpose was to rebuild the Temple, and start the sacrifices to God, as Moses had laid it out.
God said that the Levites were the only ones to stand before the Altar of God to make the sacrifices. Yet when they were out on the trail Ezra finds that the entire religious order is made up of Nethinims. [Kenites]
The priesthood had been turned over to the Nethinims, these "strangers given to service",
and they would set "their traditions" mixed in with what would be taught in the Temple.
Is it any wonder that these Kenite leaders within the temple of God wanted to kill Jesus from the start of His ministry. Jesus knew who these scribes were, and they knew that Jesus was the very Son of God that would fulfill the Sacrifice for the sins of many.

I Chronicles 2:55
"And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez (Jerusalem in its unclean state); The Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab."

These same Kenites that had their identity hidden at the time of Christ, will also have their identity hidden in these end times,
Jesus talked about them in both Revelation 2:9; and 3:9 as being those that; "blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not but are the synagogue of Satan."
Friend, you know them by what they say, and do. When they say something that goes against what the Word of God says, they are not of God.
They will be, and they are, in the Christian church houses, but "their traditions" will go AGAINST the Word of GOD.
This is why it is up to each of us to "Seal the Truth of God's Word" away in our minds so that we will NOT BE DECEIVED.
If you want to believe a lie, God will allow you to, for it is up to YOU to study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed; on that day when each of us will stand before Him.

In other words, how long shall it be until Christ returns? Tell us, when shall these things be?...
In other words, when do these things begin to take place?
He told them that the answer was contained in learning a Parable of, or from, the "Fig Tree".

Mark 13:28
"Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:"

The season begins (and the fig tree begins to grow) when we SEE a tender branch set out and put forth leaves.

So we know that we will observe a "planting" come to pass because "in like manner", just as we observe 'the history' of the planting of the fig tree, when we observe the other "things" come to pass, we will know that the end is very near and the doors of heaven are about to open!

Mark 13:29
"So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors."

Mark 13:4
"... and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?"

In other words, how long shall it be from the planting until Christ returns?

The answer is:

[30] "Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done."

That's right!
Christ shall return during the generation that began when the branch of the fig tree was set out. You can count on it! (next verse)
Hint: We shall soon discover this means there will be "Baby Boomers" who will see the return of Christ!

Do you believe that Jesus Christ can return at "any moment"?

Will you recognize Satan when he comes FIRST, claiming that he is Christ?

It is EXTREMELY important that Christians understand the "chronological order of events" which are about to take place because as Paul will make clear to even the simplest reader, there is a supernatural one coming "first", BEFORE Jesus Christ returns, and he will look just like the Messiah, and he will call himself Jesus Christ.

2 Thes. 2:1
"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,"
.
[2] "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand."

[3] "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
.
[4] "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."

Satan, the spurious messiah, will once again exalt himself above God and he will sit in the temple, just as Paul explained in verse 4, and claim that he is God, i.e. the Messiah who has come to rapture you away.

Jesus Christ also told us in Mat. 24 and Mark 13 about this "abominable one" who shall come before He returns, AND when he does, STAY AWAY from him.

Matthew 24:15
"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)"

[16] "Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:"
.
Students of the book of Daniel
(i.e. those who read it with understanding)
know that this is the "desolator", the little horn, the vile person, which are ALL names of Satan.
Will you endure to the end?

NEVER EVER forget the clear and precise statement Paul gave us in 2nd Thessalonians, chapter 2, verse 3.
It is a statement so simple that it can be understood by even the most basic reader.

He said "let no man deceive you by any means, for that day [the day of Christ's return] shall NOT come UNTIL there is a great apostasy when the man of sin, the son of perdition is revealed."
.
Would you like to know a MYSTERY, something which is unknown to most people because they have never read the Scriptures with understanding,
or
without the preconceived 'traditions of men' distorting their comprehension?
.
That man of sin, that son of perdition Paul said will be revealed, will BE REVEALED to the world AS JESUS CHRIST, not some bad dude who goes around killing people!
.
Therefore, the mystery is that the FIRST Jesus who appears will actually be Satan, the false-christ, THE IMPOSTOR, the deceiver, the false messiah, BUT the whole world with the exception of those who have the "seal of God" [His Word] in their foreheads [minds] (Rev. 9:4) will believe that he is the real Jesus Christ and will worship him as God!
THAT, IS the GREAT APOSTASY!
He will sit in the temple and blasphemously claim that he is God himself, i.e. that he is the Messiah returned, when in fact he is Satan, the "instead-of-Christ".
.
The "times and decrees" that he will think to change is to convince people that Jesus Christ has returned (before it is time), i.e. that it is the time of the 7th Trump when in fact it is only the 6th.
That will be easy for him considering that most people are expecting Christ to return at "any moment", thanks to the 'vision' of the Rapture Theory.
Couple that with Satan's supernatural abilities to perform "great signs and wonders in the sight of men", and just like that, in one day's time, Christians all over the world will begin to worship the "dragon", the "religious beast", the "vile person", the "devil", "the son of perdition", as if he were Jesus Christ.
.
Again, THAT is the "Great Falling Away" from the True Christ which Paul speaks of, when the son of perdition is revealed!
.
So we now know from irrefutable Biblical documentation that the son of perdition is coming FIRST, 'before' the real Jesus Christ returns and we gather back to Him.
.
Meanwhile back home at the turn of the 21st century many Christians were anxiously awaiting the return of Jesus Christ at any moment and paying little or no attention to the Written Word of God because they were told they were soon going be "taken up" in the Rapture of the church.
.
They were not told;
to "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Tim. 2:15),
but that going to church regularly and participating in church activities puts them in good standing.
.
Jesus said in Mat. 24 & Mark 13 that when you see this abomination, the "desolator", standing in the holy place where he ought not,
then get away from him and stay away from him!
.
It doesn't matter if he can snap his fingers and call lightning down from the sky or "take people up" in his high-tech saucers, i.e. his "flying wheels" (See Ezek. chapters 1 & 10).
.
Are you beginning to get the picture of THE MAGNITUDE of this event?
.
So let's recap once more:
.
Satan, the son of perdition, is coming to this earth (disguised) as Jesus Christ and he will have all power to perform signs and wonders and flashy miracles in the sight of men.
.
He will be spectacular to say the least, and most people WILL NOT recognize him as Satan, but will rather believe he is truly the Messiah returned.
.
The problem is he is "the religious beast" of Rev. 13 and in their ignorance Christians all over the world will forsake the True Christ and begin to worship him (Satan)!
.
That is the great falling away, the great apostasy which occurs when the son of perdition make his appearance, i.e. is revealed.
.
You see, no one would worship the beast if they KNEW he was the beast, would they?
.
Of course not!
.
They will believe he is really Jesus because of his powers and miracles and because they DO NOT know the Scriptures and the fact there are two Christs, the real Jesus and His look alike impostor, the false messiah!
.
They still perceive Satan as a bad dude with horns, a red suit with a tail, and a pitch fork in his hand!
Here is what Messiah says about that:.
Matt. 7:22
"Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?'"
.
These are the "MANY" Christians Jesus prophesied WOULD BE deceived by the false preachers who come "in His name", claiming to be Christ's representatives, and teach the people after the "precepts of men" and not directly from the Word of God.
.
He warned us NOT to be among them!
.
Paul also warned us "not to be deceived" by any man!
.
Matthew 7:23
"And then will I profess unto them, "I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.""
.
The reason Christ never knew them is because He never saw their faces in the pages of His Word wherein He dwelled all the time while they were busy doing other 'religious' things.
.
They did not hunger and thirst for HIM.
.
They did not "love the Truth".
Therefore they did not really believe in Him, did they?
.
And for that reason God shall "prove them" and send Satan as Jesus Christ to teach them a big lesson.
.

"And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:"
.
Again, "the cause" is that they loved not the Truth, i.e. His Word!

Mark 13:14

Jesus meant that when Satan as the false-christ comes to earth before His Own return and stands in the temple claiming he is the Christ, many of our brothers and sisters and fathers and mothers and sons and daughters ARE going to believe Satan really is Christ Jesus and they will try to convince us to also believe he is.

"And then if any man shall say to you, 'Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there;' believe him not:"

On May 15, in the year 1948, both the good and bad figs were set out in Jerusalem.
You see, Jesus Christ told us that we would understand the prophecies given in Mat. 24 and Mark 13 from observing history!
That's right!
Here is exactly what He said:
Mark 13:28
"Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:"
.
Hopefully by now you know a great deal about the fig tree,
even how one is planted by setting out a shoot, i.e. a "branch from the old tree".
You see, it is by doing what Christ commanded us in "learning" a parable from the fig tree that we now know summer is near,
which is the time of harvest when summer fruit is set out (Amos 8:1)
and "the end is come upon His people Israel (Amos 8:2)".

Mark 13:29 "
So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors."

So, "in like manner", i.e. just like we observed the planting of the fig tree come to pass in May of 1948, we shall also see the other "things" Christ told us about in Mark 13, Mat. 24, and Luke 21 come to pass!
That is why it is important to "watch" and observe current events and check off the events as they come to pass, because this generation shall SEE the fulfillment of all "things" and SEE the return of Jesus Christ.

Mark 13:30
"Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done."

[31] "Heaven and earth shall pass away: but My words shall not pass away."
.
Those seeking to define the length of a generation should take note that all Jesus says here, is that the generation of the fig tree will not "pass" (as in pass away) until all these things be done.
That simply means that there will be "Baby Boomers" who will see the return of Jesus Christ.
You can count on it, for it is written.
Let's see though: "What is the life expectancy of the Boomers, anyway?"
I know, the insurance companies can tell us that;
A male age 56 can expect to live 23.59 more years to age 79.59.
A female age 56 can expect to live 29.14 more years to age 85.14
Hmmm, if the Lord delays His return too long it looks like more women will see Him return than men.
(Relax, we are just having a little fun!)
However, for those seeking to know how "close to the doors" we are, we need to know that there is yet one more lesson to learn about, or from, the fig tree, for those who have eyes to see.
You "see", that old serpent, the Dragon, the Devil, Satan, the bad fig tree from the garden, who is also the "abomination of desolation" spoken of by Jesus Christ and Daniel the prophet,
is currently being held at bay in heaven by Michael and his angels.
However, Satan and his angelic host are soon to be cast to this earth, even "as a fig tree cast her untimely figs" when the "winds blow" (Rev. 7:1-4) and she is shaken.
Here is what will soon happen:

Rev. 12:7
"And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,"
.
[8] "And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven."
.
[9] "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

This happens at (666) the "6th" Seal, the "6th" Trump and the "6th" vial.

Revelation 6:12
"And I beheld when He had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;"
.
[13] "And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind."

Jesus Christ said the following concerning Satan in that same 13th chapter of Mark:

"But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:"

It is written in Rev. 9 that Satan and his angels (called the locust army) have only 5 months when the "door" of heaven opens and they come out (Rev. 12:7-9) of the bottomless pit following all that smoke (Deception/Lies) which even now darkens the light of Truth upon this earth!
Wow, when we see that happen we will be really close to the final door opening when Christ returns, won't we?
You will find that the Palestinians call the day of Israel's creation "Nakba", which is to say "Great Catastrophe".
Finally, since we are instructed to "watch".
In the 70 years since the planting of the fig tree in the land of Judea,
it has not been a very peaceful or happy place in the Middle East, has it?
One thing we do know for sure from the Word of God, and that is that;
"There will be no peace until the Prince of Peace returns!"
And when He does, every knee shall bow!

"For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God."

The good news is that ALL wars shall cease and we shall truly have peace on earth.

Isaiah 2:4
"And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more."

We look forward to that time when His kingdom reigns supreme upon this earth as it now does in heaven.
"And He said unto them, "When ye pray, say, 'Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth'" (Luke 11:2).

Paul explains that you have two bodies, a flesh body and a spiritual body.
