View MoreEven the Klankers know there is a social bias against Christianity in America. Here is an experiment with AI and has it create an Op Ed piece. This article was produced entirely by Claude. "The Tolerance Crowd Has a Christianity Problem… And They Know It. Every worldview gets celebrated here except the one that made celebrating possible. Walk into any office in America today. Any college campus, or a coffee shop in a city that votes the way it always votes. Tell me what you see. You might see crystals on desks for "energy alignment." Or Buddha statues on shelves. Hamsa hands on keychains. Yin-yangs on tote bags. Evil eye bracelets. Motivational posters quoting the Dalai Lama. A coworker who just got back from a sound bath and cannot wait to tell you about it. Nobody bats an eye. Nobody pulls HR into a conference room to discuss whether the chakra art creates a hostile work environment. Nobody questions whether the singing bowl is "appropriate for the workplace." Nobody gives the guy with the Buddhist mala a second glance. It's all wonderful. It's all celebrated. It's all so very “multi-cultural.” Then someone walks in wearing a hoodie that says "Jesus is Lord." Suddenly the room changes. Suddenly someone is "not sure that's appropriate." Suddenly the break room gets quiet and somebody mutters something about keeping religion out of the workplace… The same somebody with a "Coexist" sticker on their Prius and a Dalai Lama quote on their monitor. The Buddha statue? Coexist. The woman doing morning affirmations from a book she bought at a yoga retreat? Beautiful. Namaste. The man with a Bible verse on his t-shirt? “Sir. This is a place of business.” This is not tolerance. Real tolerance, the actual definition, not the bumper sticker version means you extend courtesy to people you disagree with. It means you don't have to like or agree with someone's worldview to let them live peacefully in it. It means the Buddhist, the Jew, the Muslim and the Mormon can sit at the same table without anyone needing a mediator. What we have now is something else entirely. What we have now is a very specific cultural hierarchy in which every belief system gets celebrated, affirmed, and accommodated except the one that served as the moral and institutional foundation of Western civilization for two thousand years. That one gets the side-eye. That one gets the muttering. That one gets treated like a public safety concern because someone had the audacity to put a scripture verse on outerwear. Run the Test Yourself. Send one friend into a progressive office park wearing a Buddha tee shirt. Send his buddy in wearing a "Jesus Saves" cap. Come back in an hour. Tell me which one got a compliment and which one got a conversation about workplace inclusivity. We already know the answer. The people doing it already know the answer. That is what makes it so remarkable. This is a bias that refuses to admit that it is a bias. Mosty by the exact kind the people holding it are least equipped to examine. Why Christianity Specifically? This is the part worth sitting with. Christianity is the one faith in modern American culture you can openly mock at a dinner party and still get laughs. It is the one worldview the coastal elite treats as simultaneously beneath them and somehow dangerous. A very strange combination when you think about it. If it is so primitive, so backward, so thoroughly irrelevant, why does the hoodie bother you? If the faith is just an outdated relic that reasonable people have moved past, why does a John 3:16 bumper sticker make someone feel like the house is on fire? Here is the honest answer, and it has nothing to do with the shirt or the hat. A man who genuinely believes Jesus Christ is Lord, who lives it, means it, structures his life around it and answers to something higher than the culture. He has a source of authority that no HR policy, no social pressure campaign, no corporate DEI initiative can override or replace. That is madly inconvenient. Not the Buddha statue. That is decorative, optional, aesthetic. It does not make moral demands. It does not call anything sin. It does not place a standard above the preferences of the people in the room. But a man who actually believes what is written in the Bible? That man is a reminder that some things exist above the pay grade of the people who believe they run everything. And they can’t stand it. I'm not calling for Government Action Nobody needs Washington involved in this conversation. Free people can wear what they want and react how they want. That is the system working correctly. But free people can also be called out for the gap between what they claim to believe and how they actually behave. You do not get to spend decades telling everyone how open-minded and inclusive you are and then treat a cross on a hoodie like a provocation. You do not get to celebrate every spiritual tradition from Sedona to Kathmandu and then act like a scripture verse is beyond the pale. Either the courtesy extends to everyone or it is not tolerance. It is just preference. And preference, as it turns out, has never needed a "Coexist" sticker to know exactly who it does not want at the table. The Bottom Line The most revealing test of any culture's actual values is not how it treats the ideas it loves. It is how it treats the ideas it cannot quite explain why it hates. Christianity passes that test every single time. It is the one belief system in modern America that can be mocked on primetime television, excluded from the public square, treated as a punchline by people who would never ever extend that same energy to any other faith. And somehow the people doing it still consider themselves the tolerant ones. That is what makes this worse than simple hypocrisy. Hypocrisy implies a gap between what you believe and what you do. This is not that. This is knowing exactly what you are doing. This is understanding the double standard, being shown the double standard, being walked through it step by step with a Buddha statue in one hand and a Jesus hoodie in the other and shrugging. Because correcting it would cost them something. It would mean extending the same grace to a faith they have spent years treating as the enemy of everything they believe. It would mean admitting that the worldview they mock as intolerant has been on the receiving end of a very specific and very deliberate cultural hostility. It would mean looking in the mirror. And that is not happening. Not because they cannot see it. Because they can and they have decided the rules do not apply here. That is not a blind spot. That is a choice. And choices have a way of revealing character far more honestly than any bumper sticker ever could. *The views expressed in this piece are those of the author.*"
