Hold onto your hats, folks, because the latest curveball from Donald Trumpâs playbook is a doozy.
In a CBS 60 Minutes interview with Ahmad al-Sharâa, the head honcho of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in Syria, host Margaret Brennan dropped a bombshell quote straight from Trumpâs lips: âHe described you as a handsome, tough man with a powerful past.â
Al-Sharâa, a guy with a rap sheet that includes a U.S. terrorist designation, tried to lean into it with a laugh, saying, âDo you doubt that?â
Brennan wasnât having it, clapping back: âI donât doubt your powerful past⊠thatâs why you were labeled a terrorist!â
Oof. The charm offensive crashed and burned like a bad Tinder date.
But letâs cut through the noise: Trumpâs out here fawning over an ISIS-linked warlord, tossing âhandsomeâ around like itâs diplomatic confetti. Bro, whatâs nextâbending the knee to every foreign strongman with a pulse? This ainât just weirdâitâs a national embarrassment.
Letâs get one thing straight: Al-Sharâa isnât some random rebel with a cool beard. This dudeâs group, HTS, has roots tangled up with al-Qaeda and the kind of jihadist vibes that make âISISâ a household name for all the wrong reasons.
The U.S. still has a $10 million bounty on his head, yet Trumpâs acting like heâs hyping up a contestant on The Bachelor.
âHandsome, tough, powerful pastâ? Sounds like Trumpâs ready to slide into al-Sharâaâs DMs with heart-eyes emojis.
Itâs not just the complimentâitâs the vibe. Itâs the kind of groveling that makes you wonder if Trumpâs auditioning to be the hype man for every dictator, warlord, and terrorist from Pyongyang to Damascus.
And for what? To cozy up to a guy whose resume screams âglobal security threatâ?
This isnât Trumpâs first rodeo, either. Heâs got a track record of bowing down to foreign heavyweights while tossing out compliments like theyâre campaign swag.
Kim Jong-un? âHandsome, smart, great leader.â
Vladimir Putin? âStrong, brilliant, very capable.â
Now al-Sharâa gets the VIP treatment, too? Itâs like Trumpâs running a fan club for the worldâs shadiest players.
Meanwhile, the U.S. is already on its knees for Israel, with billions in aid and endless diplomatic cover.
Now weâre supposed to roll out the red carpet for an ISIS-adjacent terrorist? Nah, man, this s*** needs to stop.
Calling al-Sharâa âhandsomeâ isnât just a weird flexâitâs a signal Trumpâs ready to bend the knee to anyone who strokes his ego, even if theyâre on the State Departmentâs naughty list.
And letâs talk about how this lands in the real world. Dudes donât just go around calling other dudes âhandsomeâ unless theyâre selling somethingâor buying.
In locker rooms, boardrooms, or your cousinâs BBQ, you donât hear, âYo, Dave, your jawlineâs giving rugged.â Itâs not a thing.
So when Trumpâs out here gushing over al-Sharâaâs looks like heâs casting Magic Mike: Syria Edition, itâs not just awkwardâitâs suspect.
Is this diplomacy or a crush? Either way, itâs giving âplease like meâ energy to a guy whoâs been dodging drones and running a militia, not posing for GQ.
And when you pair that with the broader pictureâTrumpâs endless fawning over foreign strongmenâit starts to look like heâs more interested in flattery than standing up for American interests.
Look, maybe Trump thinks calling a terrorist âhandsomeâ is some 4D chess move to broker peace.
Maybe heâs just being his unfiltered, chaos-agent self.
Or maybeâand Iâm just spitballing hereâheâs got a thing for power and aesthetics thatâs starting to raise more than eyebrows.
Whatever it is, itâs a bad look.
Weâre already tied up with Israelâs agenda, and now weâre supposed to play nice with an ISIS-linked warlord? Hard pass.
Trump needs to quit the fanboy act, stand up, and stop bending the knee to every foreign bad boy who catches his eye.
Because this? This is the kind of s*** that makes you wonder whoâs really running the showâand why theyâre getting valentines from Mar-a-Lago.

Donald Trump wants a Nobel Peace Prize.
For what, exactly? For giving away half of Gaza to Israel and calling it peace?
For turning the largest open-air prison on Earth into a smaller, tighter one â then patting himself on the back?
This isnât peace. Itâs a public-relations cover-up for apartheid.
Before the war: Gaza was already a cage
Letâs stop pretending Gaza was ever free.
Before October 7th, before this two-year bloodbath, Gaza was an open-air prison. Over two million people fenced in, blockaded by land, sea, and air. No airport. No port. Every calorie entering was measured by Israelâs military. Families separated by walls. Farmers shot for stepping across invisible lines.
That was life before the so-called âpeace deal.â
And somehow, Trumpâs plan manages to make it even smaller.
After the deal: Half of Gaza gone â and freedom with it
Under this new âceasefire agreement,â Israel keeps roughly half of Gazaâs territory. It pulls back from dense urban zones but still controls border corridors, major roads, and buffer strips.
Everything that makes a nation sovereign â borders, airspace, security, food, water â stays under Israeli control.
Gaza will not have an army.
It will not control its own ports or skies.
It will not control its electricity or water supplies.
Every truck of food, every liter of fuel, every person crossing a border will still depend on Israeli permission.
Thatâs not independence.
Thatâs incarceration with better lighting.
Trumpâs âpeaceâ is really profit
Trump isnât freeing Gaza â heâs franchising it.
Behind the scenes, the so-called GREAT (Gaza Reconstruction, Economic Acceleration and Transformation) Trust lays out a plan for mass âvoluntary relocation.â Cash incentives for Palestinians to leave. A U.S.-chaired trusteeship to manage reconstruction money.
And then? A slick rebranding of Gaza as the âRiviera of the Middle Eastâ â resorts, data centers, smart cities, luxury ports.
Translation: erase the people, keep the land, sell the view.
Thatâs not peacebuilding. Thatâs displacement for profit.
No sovereignty = no state
Even if Trump called it the âState of Gaza,â it would still be a colony in disguise.
Because a country without an army, without border control, without resource sovereignty, and without the right to defend its own people isnât a country at all.
Itâs a managed territory â a human filing cabinet for international bureaucrats.
Palestinians will have a flag, maybe an anthem, but no power.
Itâll be like a U.N. refugee camp with a logo.
Peace without justice is just surrender
Trump and Netanyahu can call this a truce, a breakthrough, even âthe greatest peace deal in history.â
But if âpeaceâ means the victims stay behind walls while the occupiers keep the land â itâs not peace. Itâs pacification.
You canât bomb a people for two years, cut their territory in half, control their food and water, then show up with a smile and say, âCongratulations, youâre free.â
Thatâs not diplomacy. Thatâs gaslighting on a global scale.
Why Trump doesnât deserve the Nobel Peace Prize
The Nobel Peace Prize is supposed to honor people who reduce suffering, restore dignity, and advance justice.
Trump did the opposite.
He armed Israel to the teeth, bypassing Congress to rush billions in weapons during a genocide.
He endorsed a land grab, not a liberation.
He turned mass displacement into a business venture, then tried to sell it as peace.
Giving Trump a Nobel Prize for this would be like giving an arsonist a medal for putting out his own fire.
Final word
Donald Trump didnât bring peace to Gaza.
He helped cement a system of occupation, then tried to trademark it.
He didnât create a nation â he created a smaller prison with international investors.
He didnât end a war â he just built a new wall and called it a deal.
If the world has any moral backbone left, it wonât hand out peace prizes for crimes against peace.
Because when you trade justice for optics, and human freedom for political theater, you donât deserve a medal â you deserve a trial.

Take a good look at this meme. Netanyahu asks for $6 billion more? Trump approves. Argentina wants $20 billion? Trump approves. Musk and Bezos need billions for their empires? Trump approves. But when the average American family says, âMy wife got cancer, I lost my job, can we at least get Medicaid?ââTrump says denied.
Written by Mansplaining Mike
This isnât just a joke meme floating around. Itâs the painful reality that exposes the truth: in Trumpâs America, we come last.
âSaving Israel for Lastâ? No, America Comes Last
For years, the Q crowd kept repeating, âTrust the plan. Weâre saving Israel for last.â But the truth has been the exact opposite: weâve been putting Israel first and America last. Billions in taxpayer dollars flow across the ocean while our veterans sleep on the streets, our families canât afford health care, and our kids drown in debt just trying to get an education.
Trump didnât just âsupportâ Israelâhe went above and beyond, funding their hospitals (so they get free health care), funding their colleges (so their kids go for free), and sending endless aid packages year after year. Meanwhile, the average American is told to suck it up and pay higher taxes for worse services.
Trump the Lifelong Liberal
People forget: Trump was a liberal his whole life until he decided to run for office. He supported Democrats, he supported gun control, and nowâlook at his recordâheâs talking gun grabs, red flag laws, and big-government control that sounds more like a communist playbook than America First.
Billionaires and Foreign Leaders Win, You Lose
Why is it that Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and foreign governments can get Trumpâs approval for billions at the snap of a finger, but you canât get affordable health care in your own country? Why is it that Israelâs hospitals are better funded than the ones here, and their kids have free college while American kids drown in loans?
Itâs because Trump isnât putting America first. Heâs putting billionaires, globalists, and Israel first.
The Betrayal
Letâs call it what it is: a betrayal. Trump talks like a patriot, but he governs like a globalist. He pretends to stand with the working man, but the working man gets nothing while his billionaire buddies cash out. He claims to defend our rights, but then pushes red flag laws and other anti-gun nonsense.
The truth is ugly, but itâs staring us in the face: Trump doesnât love America. He loves power, money, and Israel. And every time he says âAmerica First,â remember this meme â because the reality looks a lot more like âAmerica Last.â

Don't worry I'm fighting to make this type of stuff illegal in the federal court right now in the Eastern district sixth circuit Detroit. It's the federal court so it would change the laws for at least the 6th district if not the nation

This week on the Mansplaining Mike Show we kicked off a brand-new series: âTrump: Pinhead or Patriot?â đșđž
Each episode weâll be breaking down Trumpâs record issue by issueâwhat he promised, what he actually did, and whether he lived up to the hype.
The first installment focused strictly on the First and Second Amendments. Did Trump keep the same fire for free speech and gun rights, and foreign aid that he had on the campaign trail? Or did his actions tell a different story? We put it to the testâand gave our verdict.,

Written by mansplaining Mike
I came across something Charles Manson once said that made me stop and think. Now, donât get me wrong â Manson was a madman, not someone anyone should look up to. But sometimes even madmen say things that force uncomfortable questions.
Manson suggested that some groups build power by leaning into their role as victims. That thought led me to wonder: Would Israel be able to do what itâs doing to Palestinians if it werenât for the memory of the Holocaust?
Think about it. Every time international outrage grows over bombings in Gaza or the endless occupation of the West Bank, what comes back? The reminder: âNever forget. Never again.â And yes, the Holocaust was real, horrific, and one of the darkest crimes in human history. No sane person denies that.
But hereâs the hard part: does that history now get used as a shield for Israelâs government? Do the horrors of the past give todayâs leaders a kind of immunity â a way to silence critics by accusing them of antisemitism the second they speak up for Palestine?
Because if thatâs the case, then weâre watching tragedy upon tragedy. One groupâs suffering in the past is being used to justify another peopleâs suffering today. And thatâs a cycle of victimization and violence that should make every moral person uncomfortable.
So Iâll leave it with this question: If there had been no Holocaust, would the world let Israel get away with what itâs doing to Palestinians? Or is the story of victimhood what keeps it untouchable?
What do you think?
