1 Peter 5:8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
To keep a poisonous snake from biting you, you have to kill its head. You must cut its head off or else it will strike you. If you straddle the fence, then you are only grabbing the snake by the tail or the body.
A baby snake may look cute when they are small and the small sins may not look so obvious either. We may pet the head of a baby snake and think it can’t hurt us.
One day that baby snake will become mature and it will be too late.
On her way to work one morning
Down the path 'longside the lake
A tender-hearted woman saw a poor half-frozen snake. His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with the dew “Oh well," she cried, "'ll take you in and l'll take care of you" Take me in, tender woman
Take me in, for heaven's sake
She wrapped him up all cozy in a comforter of silkOn her way to work one morning
She hurried home from work that night, and soon as she arrived She found that pretty snake she'd taken in had been revived she clutched him to her bosom, "You're so beautiful," she cried If I hadn't brought you in, by now you might have died" she stroked his pretty skin again and then kissed and held him tight but instead of saying, thanks the snake gave her a vicious bite. She said I can’t believe after taking you in you bit me.
"Oh shut up, silly woman," said that reptile with a grin you knew I was a snake.
