PRAY AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT BECAUSE IT DOES…
Saturday September 19 2026..
This is a warning from David Ravenhill (Leonard Ravenhill son). David is in his 80s now and is warning the church in America.
“PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!
Pray as though your life depended on it—because it does.
America is at a crossroads. We have a choice: either divine intervention or divine opposition. God’s word declares, “If God be for us, who can stand against us?” The opposite is also true. If God be against us, who can deliver us? In the book of Isaiah God declared, “I am the Lord, that is my name; I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to graven images.” (Isaiah 42:8)
God is a jealous God and refuses to share His glory or praise with idols or others. We read repeatedly how God raised up adversaries because of Israel’s idolatrous ways.Even though Israel was the ‘apple of His eye,’ God chastened them for turning from His ways. In Amos we read, “The Lord God has sworn by Himself, the Lord God of hosts has declared: I loathe the arrogance of Jacob/Israel… therefore I will deliver up the city and all it contains.” Every believer knows God’s hatred for arrogance or pride, and the consequences that follow—a fall!
Let me be brutally frank with you.
If America continues to boast about her greatness—militarily, economically, politically, internationally, etc.—then God will have no other option than to raise up some adversary to humble us.
While I pray daily for our president, I loathe his repeated boasting about how he has made our nation the greatest nation on earth.
I tremble when I think of the similarity of President Trump to King Nebuchadnezzar. Nebuchadnezzar prided himself in all his accomplishments until God had no other option than to humble him by removing his sovereignty or position. Following his chastening by the Lord, Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged, “His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation, and all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing. But He does according to His will…
”I’m beginning to believe that Iran may be God’s rod of correction for our national sin of turning to and trusting gods of our own making. Another possibility is the rapid surge of the socialist Democratic Party, which plans to turn our nation into another communist enclave.
The answer lies in our humility and God’s mercy. “If my people… will humble themselves and pray… then I will hear from heaven and heal their land."
I urge you to pray earnestly for our nation and especially for our president. Our life as we know it depends on it!”
