If after reincarnation during the new life they recall some of the former life , or lives, this is “soul residue” , an energy imprint or residue from the previous life . This is not uncommon , just that most people do not recognize this or acknowledge it . Some may even call this residue karma linking us to a past life . I prefer to regard this similar to waking from a dream and having partial recall of the dream . Examining the recall , contemplating its meaning and then discarding it is the path . This now is your life , this now is you . Memory or “residue “ from a former life is not who you are now , you are your connection to the greater self , the higher self , the source.
