Fire Season and growing the Rock Garden;
I been working the bush lately, to reduce the fire potential in a dry winter and increasing threat of “Bark Beetle” infestation. This garbage bush does nothing but absorb ground water and dry up to form a flash fire condition. I should 'salt' the property with “Roundup”, but I don't like the activity or results with that activity either.
The property has some resource, however. If I can get the machinery to cooperate, some of the flat Flagstone can be placed in a pathway to keep the bush from growing under the driveway(s). I may wind up with having to trim a spotty hedge along the sides, every couple years, but it will at least provide a fire break of some sort.
The “Rock Garden” is doing well though. I move a small rock each day to build a incline wall support, to provide a deeper level for the water main to be better insulated in the winter. The chipper is on order, and will cover a lot of the path(s)
I've some structural steel for a couple of out buildings / carports, from my last job in a metal shop, and the 'sunroom' will be moved to gather better heat in the morning, with a larger outdoor room for the patio area. I should also move/e/upgrade the heat pump to a much better insulated heat pump water heater outside, pulling in unused heat from the roof and the fire pit in the sunroom.
Most of the cutting is done, but I may need to contract someone to remove the “Bark Beetle” trees as the equipment may be too large for me to safely handle. It will improve the view, but I don't to see the trees go, regardless.
It would take too long, with too much money to cut back the bigger Pine myself. The chains' maintenance for cutting would make it a boar by itself. I tried to sharpen the chainsaw chain myself, but let's just say:
Lincoln would -never hire me!

What is wrong with the “Academia” process?
It works its way into the military industrial complex to build battleships in an era of increasing air power, even if the aircraft start to become 'bullet magnets' like said battleships.
Can a fighter (as much as is comparable these days) aircraft work with less than a dozen moving parts?
What happens if the entire wing assembly can be moved from a central core of 'heavy' machinery next to the structural requirements of the assembly (a lot like the off-road bikes that bolt the frame pivots directly to the engine case).
With no (very few) control surfaces, hydraulics, heavy electronics, activation machinery, on the flight supports, the weight, durability, required maintenance, flight stability with battle damage, and troubleshooting are all improved.
The wing positions also contribute to storage of the aircraft with no added moving surfaces and can be scaled down to drone size. However, to test -most- of the flight reaction to what the 'at speed' craft would have to go through, it should be about, at least 4' long.
Most of the flight controls are done with directed fan and exhaust thrust, with a set of screw gears(?) to move the primary lift surfaces, all located directly aft of the engine generator(s), hardened, independent of the assisted 'fly by wire', ...as the ship is flight stable.
As for the smaller, personal, potential aircraft market, there are a lot of crash conditions that this design can improve, from stall speed, reduced with power application only. The separate cockpit area and ability to deplete the wing fuel quickly without flight disturbance makes crash survivable as well (at the result 'settle' speed air resistance to impact with the possible crush zone damage).
Hell, one could rent the 'ballistic' -after launch-, (mostly) unfueled craft to a local location like a taxi service, piloted remotely,
(what these 'geniuses' should be working on).
then there is that 'sidearm/internal launch' in dogfights...

Rebuilding a lackluster result.
When I first made this 6 string Bass, I made it out of scrap (most of my adventures)/12 Ga steel. The metal made it far too heavy for any practical handling, and the resonance is non-existent.
I am -in no way- recreating he “one trick pony” of 'Frampton Fame', but attempting to reach into the construction of -whatever- sound may be had with string reaction of sensitive audio from the hollow body, metal contact, and amplified return in close proximity of the strings.
In the pic, I will need to remove the back support of the fret, some material removal on the 'back', and lower the top of the body (also for better hand placement support on the strum/pick -perceived- precision). The removal of the part of the rear of the 1x4 tube will also allow the neck to be convex for string feel and adaptability on possible 'bow' involvement. I suppose one could use some sort of tuning fork to the bare case for more precision on the range of required audio activity, but this one is far from that point, at this point.
The pre-amp (inside the shell) will send a higher amp signal to the amp/speakers for more secure sound reproduction, with the bass channel diverted to a -heavy- core speaker under the strings at the most indicated space to vibrate the strings from their own sound. I will have to find a method of supplying power to the pre-amp, but it is small enough.
In reality, the case should have been made from 14, or even 16 Ga, steel, with stiffening and shape move in conjunction with a tuning fork placed on said case, for the correct resonance response wanted in the effect. Still there are reasons for having mass in the sound production device in the lower range frequencies.
There are a lot of other things that can be done to the signal before it is fed back to the strings, even the sound of a 12 string without the tuning, etc...

The art of chainsaw maintenance, page – 2:
In one pic I show how to store the chainsaw over long periods of time (unless you want to drain the oil and fuel out through (most models) tank vent holes in the fill caps. Just a note of ref., You may want to drain the fluid out for long term storage to save fuel clean complications on startup, if ya don't mind wiping out the carrier from oil residue each time.
Just a progress update on the brush clear on a property. I should have a walk behind chopper for this, but a chain saw is all available in the current conditions (cheap mostly).
Not a lot of new information today. The pics show the piles of bush currently removed for chipping (I can get a tow behind for that op), to be used for ground cover in a couple areas. The landscaping here will be of rock built plateaus, with local clean fill to level the results out.
You may also see the 'rock farm I'm growing (from previous pics) in that every day, I carry -1- some lost bit of rock from a random placement by nature to the incline support wall to the finished objective (lot of surface rock on the property). Takes a while, but don't cost nuttin'.
Most of the rock / landscaping dirt / mass will be moved by the short wheel based ATV however. My back will thank me.
The third pic is a repeat, with one new observation:
Can the forward sweep wing cigarette boat be able to use the -correctly shaped- winglets to “Inside Knee” on the corners? Can a 'clip on' be used to test proof of concept?
Regardless,
More fulfilling with music and activity. Music industry (like bars/local networking) got gutted in the “cans, trucks, and refrigeration” support.
Still not seeing any Ivermectin (etc.) reports (to be able to be approved) on supplement application and any resistance build for the things it is -reportedly- able to suppress!

Today, “Zen and the art of Chainsaw maintenance.”
In the spring, when a young plant's heart turns to sap, A chainsaw is a valuable 'hedge' to keep wildfire from devaluing your primary residences. I have a bunch of small brush to reduce before the plants turn green after the winter shut down.
There are a number of things required to keep a chainsaw working well (thus reasonably safe) that one needs to be aware of. Most pertain to the storage and yearly prep for moderate use in the warmer days.
Toe two big areas are fuel conditioning, and chain sharpening. You can just take it into the home shop every year and have them bitch and overcharge you for the pleasure, but just some simple awareness can save some money and a bunch of animosity from the local hardware.
There are two additives to use in 2 cycle engines if you don't want to do a full cardio set, to start it the next time (after drying the spark gap with a Bic). Besides the compression oil mixed with the fuel, the fuel also needs to be mixed with a storage compound because fuel grows old and goes bad. (one more reason I prefer propane whenever practical).
The other half of the 'Spring Cleaning' is chain maintenance and sharpening. One could just buy a new chain whenever the last one goes dull, but a chain sharpening kit (with correct use) is a good investment.
MOVE THE FILE IN ONE CONTACT DIRECTION ONLY!
Not only will the file dull cause of wear from the opposite contact movement, but the file 'sharps' will be bent down to reduce grab from any sharpness the file may have on it's own.
So, unless you are cutting dry soft Pine, and feeling like cleaning out the entire fuel system pathways of tired fuel, to get the engine to start according to the 3(?) step instructions, spend the morning sharpening your blade. (Lincoln).

I had a few questions left over this week. Put them together anyway you prefer (ya will anyway). Just a art project will all that can be made here, but curious. I'll be doing one of those sometime this summer also.
A lot of this concept depends on the radioactive decay and a potential 'erosion' of said material by gravitational torsion proximity (at both poles). Is it possible that Antarctica is much 'younger' than now estimated. The -single-measurement of extreme age is a standard of about 100 years old by now. Some of the other Ice core measurements from around the planet don't mesh well with the 415,000-year Antarctic ice core project. There is a lot of things that don't add up in the academia version of Earth's history.
The thing is, before you bring up “failed measurement” to academia, you better have the -ALL- receipts for: if the gravitational activity can even be measures now/that small (more atoms on one side of the partition), if the gravitation isotope erosion (even available) is constant or “AC” in the effect, how much variance is required for it to be possible, and (stay with me now) if the activity is predictable.
This concept also requires an idea that the Terra on this planet is foreign material (the rock that hit Earth formed the “Pangia(SP?) original continent), to spit the Moon and Kiber belt out the other side.
Bonus; if so, it may provide a time/coordinate for the better tracking of said shooting gallery as well. I also mention this, for (look at the other fluid covered planets), life in the cosmos may be of a atmospheric history/land may be scarce). If so, then the crust of Earth may also be floating “greased owl snot” of a mantel, affected to move plate tectonics much easier.
Did a close fly by of a north to south massive 'Kiber remnant' pull Antarctica from mid Atlantic to the pole about 75,000 years ago, with “Atlantis” the civilisation that recovered from it?
Why(?), Mon.

I never cracked a book out side of class in High School.
I also spent every moment in Jr. High in the library, reading every SF concept available.
Some one decided to put me a year early in the county school system.
The only thing I learned in my year of college was how to jump out of a plane.
I was in the military.
-EXACTLY- 4 years, not one day more.
I've travelled most of the US.
On a single trip bus pass.
I kept going back to school.
In the trades, with the only completion; Aircraft & Powerplant.
I always had a job.
Unless I was moving and or looking for any entry level available.
I lived in big cities all my adult life.
Before they became toilets.
Never hit anyone.
Except in Alexandria MN ('79?) to stop a rape.
Never married.
But I have ABSOLUTLY no idea how many kids I may have.
I have had 'opportunistic' affaires.
Didn't see what all the fuss was.
I was arrested for DWI.
Bucket list, paid for, never to be repeated.
I have developed 3 residences.
FED kept me out of the one I was planning to use for retirement.
I feed Crows a supplement resource.
Got a sling and shot for the 'familiar' squirrels.
Never been to NYC / area.
Have NO reason to try.
Never much of a criminal.
Probably too lazy for the lifestyle.
Met many interesting people.
But none of the ones that “disappeared around a corner”.
Never met an alien.
But, my dreams are of the “silver ship”' C,S,&N song.
(probably keep us both alive)
Never took good care of my teeth.
Possibly have another set of molars coming in now.
As the joke goes; falling, I missed the pitchfork in the haystack.
Missed the haystack too.
Your mileage may vary.
Stay vertical ya idiots!
