This giant tortoise named Goliath has become a dad for the very first time at the amazing age of 134. He lives at Zoo Miami in Florida and weighs over 500 pounds. For many years, Goliath had tried to become a father, but he never had a baby. Then something incredible happened! His partner, a tortoise named Sweet Pea, who is around 100 years old, laid 8 eggs. After 128 days of waiting, one tiny baby finally hatched, making Goliath a dad for the first time in his long life!Their baby was the first Galápagos tortoise ever born at Zoo Miami. The little one is healthy, full of energy, and being cared for in a safe place. Zoo officials even applied for a Guinness World Record because Goliath could be the oldest first-time father ever recorded.
