FIRST LADY MELANIA TRUMP LEADS. Melania announced a new women's health initiative this week, calling it a transformative moment for women in America.Beginning today, we will change the reality of women's health, the First Lady said, framing the push as a shift from fighting for rights to pursuing cures that help women live healthier, fuller lives. The initiative puts federal research muscle behind conditions that have been understudied for decades. Dr. Alicia Jackson, director of ARPA-H, says the effort can drive research that leads to real results for women across the country.Melania has built her second term as First Lady around children, families and now women's health, and she is doing it with her trademark refusal to ask permission.
