🇺🇸🕌 How Many Mosques Are There in Each U.S. State? The number of mosques and Islamic centers across the United States continues to grow, reflecting the expanding Muslim community throughout the country. 🤍 📊 According to the 2020 U.S. Mosque Survey by the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding (ISPU), there were approximately 2,769 mosques in the United States in 2020, compared with 2,106 in 2010 — an increase of about 31%. 📈 More recent mosque directories estimate that the number has now surpassed 3,000 mosques nationwide, although these newer figures are estimates rather than an official 2026 government census. 🕌 States with some of the largest Muslim communities and concentrations of mosques include: 🇺🇸 California 🇺🇸 Texas 🇺🇸 New York 🇺🇸 Florida 🇺🇸 Illinois 🇺🇸 New Jersey 🇺🇸 Michigan 🇺🇸 Pennsylvania 📌 Important: The figure of 2,769 comes from the nationally recognized 2020 survey. Any 2026 figure should be described as an estimate unless a new nationwide survey using the same methodology has been published. 🤲 Alhamdulillah, mosques can be found in all 50 U.S. states, serving as places of worship, education, community, and outreach. #Mosques #IslamInAmerica #MuslimsInAmerica #Islam #UnitedStates #MuslimCommunity #USMuslims
