Pramila Jayapal: “Trump is trying to silence Representative Ilhan Omar. We won’t stand for it.”Jayapal is accusing President Trump of trying to silence Ilhan Omar, but holding an elected official accountable and silencing political speech are two different things. No member of Congress should be above scrutiny simply because they disagree with the president. If there is evidence of wrongdoing, it deserves a fair and transparent investigation. Political disagreements should not shield anyone from accountability.
