For 47 Years Iran's proxies rained carnage on American troops while Washington treated it like background noise, but one senator with a fallen friend's name on a memorial bracelet just put the entire apologia lobby on NOTICE - and he did it with Schumer's own anti-war script turned into a EULOGY!
Senator Tim Sheehy of Montana rose against the War Powers Resolution and didn't bother with diplomacy. The former Navy SEAL recounted walking friends off the plane at Dover, then named names: 280 Marines "vaporized in the morning" in Beirut, the USS Cole, the Achille Lauro, hostages taken by the Iran's proxies. He dismissed talk of restraint with a warning that "an occasional missile strike and boats in the strait" are "the flailings of a failing empire."
Then came the line that should haunt every career senator who votes to tie the mission's hands. Recalling the troops overseas, Sheehy promised "we will finish it," and reminded his colleagues that when you're wearing the uniform, "you don't care what party's in office." The resolution went down 47-49, and Gold Star families noticed who STOOD with them!
