FOIA records show about $1,500 on “Ramadan Kareem” banners and $5,000 on a crescent-moon display. Police sold Ramadan shirts with the department logo.She did not ask the city to cancel Ramadan. She asked for equal treatment. The city expanded the Muslim displays instead.The lawsuit also cites Mayor Abdullah Hammoud telling a Christian pastor at a City Council meeting: “You are not welcome here.”
