Obama's Crowd Spent Seventeen Years Calling Fort Hood "Workplace Violence" While the Case Sat Idle. Trump's Pentagon Has Now Set a December 3rd Firing Squad at Fort Hood - and Pete Hegseth Doesn't Seem To Be Losing Any Sleep Over It.A military jury handed Nidal Hasan a capital punishment sentence in 2013, and the case then waited more than a decade. President Trump approved Defense Secretary Hegseth's recommendation, and the Army scheduled the event for 1 p.m. on December 3rd at Fort Hood - the same day of the week and time of day as Hasan's 2009 attack. Asked if Hasan had made any final requests, Hegseth answered plainly: "Don't care. We'll see him on December 3rd."The Pentagon says the event will be livestreamed. Hegseth explained the reasoning: "People need to understand that there's serious consequences for these types of things." After seventeen years of delays, the record is now straightforward: Hasan was a terrorist, and the consequences arrive in early December.
