9. For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.Colossians 2:9; KJV. Paul’s instruction in chapter 2 teaches that believers possess everything they need in Jesus Christ. Paul urges Christians to remain rooted in Christ and warns against false philosophies, legalism, and religious traditions that compete with the gospel. He declares that all the fullness of God dwells in Christ and that believers are complete in Him. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus forgave sins, canceled our debt, and triumphed over spiritual powers. Therefore, believers should hold fast to Christ and not be taken captive by human traditions or man-made rules. Today's verse confirms that in Christ is the fullness of God in the flesh; Christ is fully God, completely sufficient, and all believers are complete in Him, needing nothing added to His finished work of salvation. For practical application, guard against false teaching and stay rooted in Christ; He is sufficient, and you need not add anything to Him for salvation. Christ's victory is the Cross, where He conquered sin and death. Lessons learned: Jesus is fully God, Christ's forgiveness is complete, believers are complete in Christ, and Christ contains all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Amen.
