Gas is expensive. Nobody at the pump is imagining that, and nobody should pretend it doesn't sting. But gas prices come and go. What's on the ballot this November doesn't.This summer, the Democratic Socialists of America released their national platform, "Workers Deserve More." Read it. They want to abolish the U.S. Senate. They want to replace the president and the Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen by, and subordinate to, a single expanded chamber of Congress.Subordinate. Their word, not ours.James Madison warned about exactly this in Federalist No. 47. Putting legislative, executive and judicial power in the same hands, he wrote, "may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny."DSA isn't hiding the endgame either. "Our goal is communism," said David Jenkins, a member of DSA's National Political Committee, the group's top leadership body.So why are these candidates running as Democrats? DSA co-chair Megan Romer told Fox News that third party ballot access is "extremely difficult." Translation: they need the Democrat label to win. They don't want to join the party. They want to take it over.Democrat leaders seem fine with that. Hakeem Jeffries has already acknowledged DSA winners will caucus with Democrats. They widened the tent and handed over the keys. That's naive. DSA has told everyone exactly who they are. The Constitution is the roadblock, so the Constitution has to go.If you think things are rough now, look at Cuba. Look at Venezuela, which went from one of the richest nations in South America to one of the poorest. Socialism promises everything and delivers empty shelves and locked doors.Meanwhile, South America is waking up. Chile elected José Antonio Kast. Argentina doubled down on Javier Milei. Colombia elected a pro-market conservative this year after four years of leftist rule. Voters who lived it are kicking socialism to the curb.America shouldn't have to learn that lesson the hard way. This midterm isn't about the price of a gallon. It's about whether we keep our republic.Vote red.

If people vote for Democrats just because they are upset about fuel prices, they deserve what they get. It'll be so much worse.....
