This cartoon says it all.
Sydney Sweeney did one thing the left cannot forgive. She showed up on Florida voter rolls as a registered Republican.
The meltdown was instant. Her American Eagle "great jeans" ad was branded sexist, regressive, even a dog whistle. Critics insisted she was setting women back decades. Since then, her name alone sets off a fresh round of think pieces and hashtag outrage.
To be fair to the critics, their argument is that ads built on a woman's looks reduce her to her looks.
Fine. Now apply that standard to their own side.
Who told girls that OnlyFans is empowerment? Who coined "sex work is work" and called it progress? The same people who say a jeans ad objectifies women will defend OnlyFans as a business model in the same breath.
Who forced young women to change in locker rooms next to biological males, then hand over podiums and scholarships they earned? Ask Riley Gaines how that felt.
Who replaced the word "mother" with "birthing people" in official government language?
Who handed Glamour's Woman of the Year award to Caitlyn Jenner and called it a win for women?
Who spent fifty years telling women that staying home to raise children was a waste of potential?
That is the record. None of it came from a blonde actress selling denim.
The left is so consumed by hatred for anyone who crosses them politically that they cannot see what they did to themselves. They built the culture that sold womanhood off piece by piece, and now they want to blame a jeans commercial.
This is more than hypocrisy. It is tragic. Real women, real girls, and real mothers paid the price for these ideas.
Sydney Sweeney didn't set women back. The movement that claims to speak for women did.
