🚨 NEWSOM MAKES EID A CALIFORNIA STATE HOLIDAY California is not an Islamic state, yet Gavin Newsom just signed AB 2017 recognizing Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha as state holidays — legislation co-sponsored by CAIR-California and other Muslim advocacy groups. No, it does not automatically shut down the state or hand everyone two new paid days off. But critics can reasonably ask why Sacramento is expanding official religious recognition at the urging of advocacy organizations while America’s Judeo-Christian heritage increasingly seems treated as something politicians would rather apologize for than defend.
