I remember my uncle having a Cadillac Eldorado back in the 70s, and one thing I haven't forgotten was how heavy that door was. That car was huge, and those long doors felt like they weighed a ton. As a kid, I'd grab the handle and give it everything I had just to get the thing closed. If the car was parked on even the slightest hill, forget it!Everything about that Eldorado seemed big to me. The hood went on forever, the seats were wide and comfortable, and riding in it felt like you were floating down the road. But I remember that door most. You didn't gently close an Eldorado door. You gave it a good shove and hoped you had enough muscle behind it!
