She warned them a year in advance.
Brandy Vaughan was a former Merck sales representative who walked away from the industry after the Vioxx scandal. She founded Learn the Risk, a platform dedicated to documenting what she saw as the hidden risks of pharmaceutical products and vaccines. She became a visible critic of mandatory vaccination policies and the companies behind them.
In December 2019 she posted a detailed statement online.
She said she was not suicidal. She said she was not on any medication that could kill her suddenly. She said her home was secured. And she wrote the line that still circulates: "If something were to happen to me, it's foul play and you know exactly who and why."
On December 7, 2020, she was found dead in her Santa Barbara home by her young son.
The gap between a public warning and a sudden death of a high-profile critic is exactly where suspicion lives. Official records closed the case as natural. Her prior words and the nature of her work kept the questions alive.
When a former industry insider spends years challenging the system and then dies after explicitly stating what foul play would look like, the public does not stop at the coroner's report.
