A summary of 2 Corinthians 10: Paul’s defends his ministry with humility and spiritual authority. He explains that Christian warfare is spiritual, not physical, and that believers must use God's weapons to tear down strongholds and control their thoughts. He warns against comparison, superficial judgment, and selfpromotio He emphasizes that all boasting must be in the Lord and that true approval comes from God alone. Paul teaches that although we live in the flesh, our warfare is spiritual, and spiritual battles can only be fought with spiritual weapons. These spiritual weapons come from God and include prayer, the Word of God, faith, the name of Jesus, the armor of God described in Ephesians 6, praise and worship, the Holy Spirit's guidance, righteous living, fellowship with believers, and love. The mightiest weapon in battle is useless until it is used against the enemy. All glory for the victory belongs to Christ Jesus. God is the author of our salvation and our success. Spiritual battles are not won without a fight. Capture sinful thoughts first with Christ's truth, and sin will flee. The lessons are: spiritual battles require spiritual weapons; the authority that comes from God is gentle and Christlike; do not compare yourself to others; be faithful where God has placed you; all glory belongs to God, not man; and seek God's approval above all else.
