Elections only work if the public can see the books and trust the count. Years of dismissed questions did not make those questions disappear. They made people more certain that officials would rather mock the concern than open the files. A senior official saying more states may look different under a real review is not a tantrum. It is an argument for sunlight.
Proof of citizenship, clean rolls, chain-of-custody ballots, and cameras at the counting table are not exotic demands. They are how a country stops arguing in the dark. When rules change midstream, drop boxes multiply, and observers get pushed back, confidence dies. Confidence does not return because a network anchor says the case is closed. It returns when the process can survive an audit without panic.
Susie Wiles is pointing at the unfinished part. Finish it. Release the records. Tighten the next cycle so no one has to guess. A republic that treats election mechanics as a loyalty test will keep splitting in half. A republic that treats them as plumbing will get quieter nights after November. The plumbing still needs work.
