Father Jerzy Popiełuszko was brutally murdered by the communist security service in 1984.
With profound sorrow, we remember the words of his mother, Marianna Popiełuszko: "I do not pass judgment, nor do I seek vengeance (…) My greatest wish is for their repentance. I have already forgiven them."
Jerzy Popiełuszko was born on 14 September 1947.
