Canadian woman says she lost her job and received notice that she must leave the United States after photos showed her standing on an American flag. She has apologized, accepted responsibility, and said she will not fight the consequences. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences....Quote from her social media posts:“Yesterday, I posted memes about Charlie Kirk that were insensitive and disrespectful to his family. For this I sincerely apologize. My intent was never to cause harm to anyone.I have also uploaded personal photos of myself and my sister and her friends. And her friends standing on the US flag. I am sorry for this as well. It was in poor taste and I fully accept responsibility for this. The response from Americans has shown me that dispute my views, Americans are a kind and proud people.I have lost my job. I received a notice for expulsion from the US because of my previous flag photos. I accept these consequences as I am solely responsible for them.I will not fight any of it and have agreed to leave on Monday morning. My sister and I ask that everyone please keep the rhetoric down. This is a difficult time for everyone and threats of death and s3xual assault are concerning and scary.I apologize. She apologizes. We are leaving on Monday. Please let us do this in dignity. Finally, I want to openly apologize to the family of the Kirk family. The tragedy of his death remains a horrible event that has affected millions. I hope I didn’t cause harm to you and I hope you can forgive us.”#sabrinamessa #americanflag #accountability
