To the press card holders of @libe @Le_NouvelObs @Telerama: Contrary to your claims, season 5 of Fauda is of extreme restraint. Out of respect for the viewers, it has only skimmed the surface of the atrocities committed on October 7 by the Arabs of Gaza. It spared you the women gang-raped then burned alive, the families tied together and dismembered, father, mother, child. The mother of a 7-year-old child, nearly full-term pregnant, gutted open, the baby stabbed in front of her and her other son shot dead. They didn't show you the Arabs of Gaza raping the bodies of their murdered victims, nor those who sliced off a woman's breasts at Nova, using them to play football while an accomplice continued to desecrate her. You didn't see the tortures. The genital mutilations. The eyes gouged out. The hands and feet of children sliced off. The family fathers doused in kerosene who beg on their knees, only to have a cigarette tossed at them amid bursts of laughter and cries of Allahu Akbar as they writhe in the flames. Fauda 5 didn't dwell on the systematic massacre of young people who were there only to party and dance. No film, no series, can truly reproduce the episodes of a pogrom, during which blood-drunk demons ran wild with glee. You didn't see the dogs shot at point-blank range, the cows exterminated with machine guns. Fauda is a work of fiction inspired by reality. I live 25km from Gaza. I've seen all the images, the real ones, the 47 minutes from the army and others besides. I'd gladly shove my foot up the ass of any self-righteous Islamist-leftist who dares claim again that Fauda lacked restraint in depicting, in fictional form, barely 5% of what happened that day.
