TRUMP TAKES THE STAGE IN DALLAS AND THE ARENA EXPLODESThe American Airlines Center in Dallas just turned into a wall of sound. President Trump walked out to Lee Greenwood singing God Bless the USA live, and the place lost it. Flags everywhere. Phones in the air. “USA! USA!” bouncing off the rafters like it was 2016 all over again. It was a packed house on its feet, people in red waving signs and hugging the moment as Trump works the front row. It is the first midterm convention the GOP has ever held, billed as a two-night Trumpapalooza ahead of November. Trump is headlining both nights. Tonight was no warm-up.Greenwood’s anthem still hits like a freight train in a room like that. The chants started before Trump even reached the podium. That is the picture from Dallas right now: a loud, packed, unapologetically patriotic crowd giving the president the kind of welcome that does not need a script.
